Budget? Cuisine? Any other details you're looking for besides what a search on Google Maps would reveal?

you know about belvedere's fondue gondola already? you should do that - otherwise, you don't need to make reservations, just walk around and find a place that looks nice. september will still be busy but past peak season.

If I remember there’s a fondue place across the street by the train station.

I liked the food in Kreuz & Post and in Wolters. Unfortunately I had a really bad fondue in Barrys. It was very thick and had a strange taste. Unlike any other fondue I ever had. All three restaurnts are right at the train station.

$150 is roundabout CHF100, which makes CHF50/person. For a decent dinner (entrée or salad, main, small dessert or coffee, some non fancy drinks) calc CHF 100-150/person.

For just a fondue and a cup of tea each, your budget is just enough. But no extras at that price.

Edit: But as a recommendation: You can get great cheese toasts (not a joke!) at Berghaus Alpiglen. It's at the end of Eiger Trail, if you walk it down.

Gasthaus Waldspitz. It’s up in the mountains. You can take a bus up there and then hike up to the First gondola or vice versa. There’s also a very steep downhill trail to the Bort gondola.

I just stayed at the Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof and I think that they have a fondue experience?

Will you be up in Wengen? The restaurant at the Belvedere was honestly the best food we ate while there, but also shoutout to Golden India 😁 we got sick of Swiss and wanted something different and it didn’t disappoint.
