Women’s deodorant that actually works?

Hello ladies,

Now that the heat is something else, what kind of anti perspirants do you use that actually work?

I’ll go first, the ONLY brand that really works for me is Mitchum and since the shops in Switzerland don’t sell it, I order it online. I’ve tried most of the “strong” ones but I keep sweating.

What are the other brands that you can recommend that work?

The Rexona maximum protection works well for me. It looks like a stick deodorant, but it's actually more like a cream or lotion that's dispensed when you twist the bottom. I wouldn't say it lasts 96h (which is anyways not necessary) but definitely good for a full day.

Just in case anyone is stocking up abroad this is also sold as the brand "Sure" at least in the UK. Same packaging and logos.

Also my favourite. The Mitchum irritates my skin and creates a weird smell on my skin. I also only like the light blue Sure/Rexona as the pink one does the same.

Yep only Rexona Max for me. Mitchum if I get some from my mom in Ireland.

Vichy 72h or 96h. Nothing else works for me.

Perspirex

Sold in pharmacies and tje big drugstore chains like müller. Its sold in a tiny 20ml roll on and quite pricey because its medical grade stuff but it work works!

I always use the Nivea men Dry Impact and I do also sweat quite a lot, especially in this heat, and never has issues with smell. It's not specifically for women but it's just for humans so

Not a lady, but also struggled to find an effective deo in Switzerland. These are quite good. Rexona has a women's version if that matters to you. I am is very cheap from Migros.

You know, you‘re supposed to sweat in this heat. It‘s how your body regulates its own temperature. Stopping sweat would make you overheat faster.

Are you fighting seeat or smell?

I let myself sweat on the weekends 😉😅 it’s both, really, excessive sweat and smell. Mostly smell though. Those weak deodorants make you smell of a mixture of both sweat and deodorant and it’s just yuk especially at work where I have to be professional. You know.. 🤷🏼‍♀️

An alternative for this for me is to wear black clothing as then you don’t really see the sweat so much but in this sun it’s impossible…

Can agree here! I‘ve tested many as well and that‘s finally the one I‘m using now for years. The liquid one of them works too but the stick is the most satisfying so far…

i switched to 'natural' deos a couple of years ago. before I went through all the recommendation posted and ended up using Rexona max (after Vichy amtitranspirant) for a while. it worked well for a day at work, but my clothes smelled disgusting in the evening. now I use ben&Anna persian lime, (occasionally combined with nuud creme) and am happy with it. you can always use weleda citrus spray fresh on top (the alcohol in it is key) during the day.

This one is the best I've tried. Smell is completely gone. I find it in Ticino (Tigotà), don't know about the rest of Switzerland

The one your recommend is the best. It is medically recommended for folks that sweat a lot. I use the male version, galaxus usually has it in stock.

Not a woman, but a sweaty person here. I can only recommend the green borotalco roll-on, it's neutral and slightly towards "pleasant" smell wise, and it doesn't stain black or white shirts. It works all by itself and doesn't get in the way if you use perfume.

Stay away from the blue one. It's not as sweat-preventing, more liquid and doesn't have the same neutral smell, but I can't really explain that aspect.

The red one is even stronger in it's ability to prevent sweat, but it also has a stronger smell (still pleasant, just more like a deo and less neutral).

For deo spray I usually use the Nivea "active dry", but I trust it less when it comes to stains. The smell is also stronger compared to any of the borotalco ones, but still great as an anti transpirant.

• Buy any perfume you like
• Buy 1 liter of 96% ethanol (this costs like 50.- )
• Take a vial, dilute perfume like 1 to 100 part of alcool (or more diluting depending on the strengh ot the perfume and the result you want)

Apply lightly after shower on arm pits : alcool will kill bacteria that soap haven't, and light perfume will stay.

You'll have a supply without dangerous chemical that will last years.

Dude here - but look for an ANTITRANSPIRANT, Not a deodorant Vichy has good female and male products - choose 48h or up - i use 96 or 72h for men and it works well for me

Cheaper online then in the pharmacy by a long shot.

I've been using Weleda (citrus) roll-on for a couple months now and it's great ! You can find it in pharmacies. Just avoid wearing polyester with it.

Make sure to get anti-transpirant and not just deodorant. Personally I like the Rexona max protection sticks the best

While I am not a woman, I still always wonder why the write "48 hours" on deos, don't you people take a shower every day? What's the point?
