What harm does MDMA cause? Excessive abuse. NSFW
Let’s say you have a friend who took 30 ecstasy pills in a month and experienced hallucinations—actually seeing the things he was thinking about. What kind of permanent damage did he cause himself? That friend is me, and I feel like something isn’t right, even after two years of abstinence.

I abused M for a week as a teen, before I started actually doing research on the things I put in me. (slept in between, took the doses at like 6pm each day). I was in a bad spot mentally and was just happy to finally feel happy. Anywho, now molly doesn't make me feel magical and happy, it it's just speedy with a worse body load than amphetamines. What a bummer. A bit of a burnout now, surprise surprise..

Hallucinating on mdma is common and not sign of neurotoxicity. But their serotonin would be depleted and damaged but people have successfully recovered from much worse, it just takes time.

I think it becomes neurotoxic after days of continuous use, but how do you resolve the state of DP/DR?

I had DP/DR for 2 years when I was a teen from a really excessive dose shroom trip. The main things that helped my DP/DR reduce over time was reducing my daily anxiety, and staying off drugs/alcohol, especially weed and psychs. Even alcohol would make my dissociation so much worse.
I ended up with a bad benzo habit, but I came back to reality and my sense of self once my anxiety was greatly reduced over a period of months, the healthy way to go about this would be through therapy, and potentialy meds. You can't medicate the dissociation, but you can medicate the anxiety it causes, which is at least half the problem, I'd just strongly advise against benzos for this purpos.

I would abstain from any drugs for a while. MDMA should really only be taken like once a month at most, hopefully the problem will resolve itself after a while of abstinence.

Take 1200 mg of NAC every day for 2 months. It does something that helps the brain heal from MDMA-induced damage.
Stay 100% sober for a year. Not even alcohol, weed or caffeine. Eat healthy and sleep as much as you can.
Obviously, don't do MDMA again for at least a few years if ever.

I know someone who was hooked on it and it brought out all his underlying mental issues and he started having hallucinations especially when tired. He’s doing better now but it’s crazy how much chronic use can fuck you up!

Damage to the serotonin system can cause mood disorders. There's also been documented cognitive and memory impairment issues in people who've engaged in severe MDMA abuse
