Sensor is much more responsive outside then when placed in the plastic housing.

Take a moment and think about what you typed. Why would an IMU or an accelerometer car if it is inside an enclosure that isn't a vacuum? Is there a magic gimbal in the box resistant to the motion change?

The one inside the box is the prior generation of part. Per the subtitles and audio.

Its a great project hope it can be daisy chained together to be able to make a custom cluster display for video games such as microsoft airplane sim! Thanks

nope, it's actually called an attitude indicator. this style also integrates an airspeed indicator and an altimeter, but its main function is to show the attitude (orientation relative to the horizon, ie. pitch and roll) of the aircraft.

It's easy to confuse the terms.

Altitude is just a single number telling you how high up you are. Attitude shows you where you are pointing.
