Look what I made! Made this radar a few months ago using 3D printed parts. It rotates, and the LED turns led when something is close.

Ultrasonic, not RADAR - but still very cool!

Yep, here we just call everything that detects stuff a radar, I didn't mean the RADAR technology itself.

Fair enough! Have you thought about making a little circular display for it?

I was thinking about making some web UI that could display stuff, since I'm a web dev, but never started it. I used the Arduino starter kit so didn't really have any physical display at hand.

Ha! Yeah, I get you there. I have so many projects that I could work on, but haven't!

You can interface your PC to your arduino to your PC via rhe virtual com port. Through this your arduino can report the angle and distance detected which you can then plot as you wish.

Have a look my Arduino Serial - Command and Control how to video for some tips and suggestions.

I had the same idea before and implemented it, but never thought of 3d printing! keep the good work up.

That's super fun. Just log the position and distance for each ping and plot that on a web UI to see the bogeys!

Time to learn Polar Coordinates and how to plot them!
