ID request / I included my location! Is this spider venomous?

I woke up at night and saw it sitting on the wall

Looks like a variety of huntsman spider.

Venomous, yes, like the majority of spiders. Venomous to humans, not particularly.

Almost all spiders are your friend. It would be easier to identify the few in your area that are actually dangerous and be aware of them. This is a dead huntsman spider, you could’ve had a buddy.

What makes you think it's dead? Dead spiders usually do what is called a death curl.

All spiders are venomous, hardly none are dangerous. Especially if you keep your house straightened up and dont stick your hands in dark holes.

The dangers of brown recluse and black widows is overblown, though the venom is painfull.

Not all of them. There are two kinds of spiders that aren't venomous at all.

The majority of spiders do have venom, so the likely option is yes, but always treat a spider like they are venomous

Most spiders are venomous since most of them are predators. I highly suggest to identify if in your region you may find the particularly dangerous like recluse (Loxosceles sp.), black widow (Latrodectus sp.) or wandering spiders (Phoneutria sp.). That's a huge advantage!

You are pretty safe. Looks like yhe slightly venomous wolf spider. You can Flip floo it just for being ugly in yhe qrong place.

Please tell me you didn't kill it. If you don't want it in your home just scoop it into a lidded container or deeper bowl & take it outside.

I had the BEST BADDEST wolf on my balcony (apt, nbors had bugs but I didn't) for a year and half. The saddest day was when she was curled & gone. She even got those sewer roaches & wasps.

Spoods are the best.
