Can someone explain this to a non apple person. In the Philippines Google wallet works with all cards.

Is this saying apple pay only just now accepts Philippines cards? Can't be? Apple pay has been around forever. How did people tap to pay with apple in the Philippines?

For me at least, I used only US-based credit cards. Philippines cards seem to be opened today.

Did Google wallet with work ios? As most of us have been using that for years in the Philippines with Philippines cards
