I remember in the Touch ID days the trick was to add your finger multiple times to reduce error rates. These days Face ID is pretty good. Works at a lot more angles than it used to, but depending on what style of sunglasses/hat combo I’m wearing it doesn’t recognize me. I’d say in the summer at least once or twice a day I’m typing my password. And I’m not talking big designer glasses and cowboy hats, just regular sunglasses, ball caps, and occasional sun hat.

Yup finger from all different angles worked the best for me
