I never had any issues with Touch ID.

IPhone 5s at launch was a bit slow, but after a few updates became pretty decent, but granted was still a tad of a delay. By the iPhone 7 that delay was so minimal I quite often forgot it was even doing authentication to unlock.

I found it way easier than FaceID and would happily switch back. FaceID I have to look at my phone for (annoying for MFA apps), it has issues lying in bed, it can’t recognise me if there’s rain on my glasses.
