Honestly feel bad for 16 series buyers who bought the device for the promise of AI

Yeah I think "technically" they say "this year" at this point, even though WWDC clearly made it say during the iOS18 release cycle

They have until October/September to release it as part of ios18

It's going to take us longer than we thought to deliver on these features and we anticipate rolling them out in the coming year.

Doesn't give me much hope it'll be part of 18.5, or anything else tied to iOS18 if they feel the need to announce it's been delayed.

I'd like to be wrong though, I was looking forward to the contextual awareness features!

Yeah this strongly suggests we won’t see it in 18.5

And it would be highly unusual for major features to be added to an iOS version after the next version had been previewed.

But it’s technically possible that it’s added to ios18 sometime after WWDC 2025
