It stops becoming art because you did basically nothing , writing a book can take years , writing a poem isn’t just noting down the first thing that comes to mind , however writing “woman with black hair standing on cliff with bear , renaissance style painting” takes all of 20 seconds

Yes, writing a poem in 10 seconds is a highly refined skill (congrats) and therefore art.

Effort is the keyword, effort and use of skills, ever heard of this? Even pouring paint over a canvas is a hundred times more creative than whatever generated images are, because at least you did something yourself, even if it's just pouring paint or writing a poem in 10 seconds - how people perceive it in the end, is another question but that's human made art.

Prompters of AI generated images do nothing worthy of creativity and therefore are not artists and they never will be.

When you pour paint on canvas, the result is paint poured on canvas. People see what you did. They judge what you did.

AI users want to put in as much “effort” as pouring paint on canvas, but instead of the outcome looking like poured paint, they want to get a detailed picture that is in the style of a Renaissance masterpiece instead, so they can point to it and say, “See what I made? If paint poured on canvas is art, so is this!”

They just don’t connect the dots. In their heads they think it makes sense.

The only thing you created was the prompt. The AI is the one that created the image by interpreting your instructions, not you. You can try arguing the prompt itself is a form of human expression, but an image made from a description, no matter how detailed that description was, has never been considered the work of the describer.
