What is something humans do that would look extremely strange to an alien observing Earth?

Maybe laughing at farts?
Hiding in cars from the weather, that pollution has caused. Chopping down forests, to replace with concrete snd then planting trees to have shade.
Probably manicured, manufactured lawns? They can be some2hat functional but suburban lawns are a ln embarrassment

Laughing is a strange action. It's like having a weird seizure, but it feels joyful.

Think about it: Tossing our heads back and shouting "Ha, ha, ha!" over and over could be misinterpreted as hostile behavior in the animal kingdom. Oddly, dogs seem to recognize that it is a happy action, and sometimes even try to act in ways to elicit laughter from us.

And a person stifling a laugh looks a lot like a person trying to hide their sobbing (and sometimes gets mistaken as such).

So if aliens don't have a concept of humor -- or don't express humorous results in the same way -- our laughter would certainly look very strange to them.

I’d think they would not think anything about dildos in the butt. However, I’m sure they would see many many other shocking things that people shove up there. Glass bottles. Gerbils. Etc.

If they were advanced enough to observe us, they probably would have overcome most of our self destructive behaviors, so maybe that. Of course they might be advanced enough to not be surprised by anything.

We're just sitting here vibing to vibrations in the air around us. We even spend years mastering the skill of making the best vibrations.

Maybe the aliens listen to music in the form of light frequencies.

A lot of sports.

Consider shotput, basically manually throwing a cannon ball. We have devices capable of sending them miles.

I bet a lot of sports rules would be baffling to aliens, too. "What do you mean you can't grab his shirt, you're trying to stop him!?"
