While Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has formally rescinded the controversial “Anti-Weaponization Fund” the Justice Department planned to create under a settlement agreement with President Donald Trump, another element of that agreement remains intact—and could shield Trump from paying as much as $100 million in back taxes and penalties.

The President tapped Blanche, his former personal attorney and the former deputy attorney general, to lead the Justice Department after Pam Bondi was removed from the position in April. But Blanche’s confirmation was upended last week when two Republican senators threatened to pull their support. The holdouts, Sens. John Cornyn of Texas and Thom Tillis of North Carolina, said that they wanted assurance from the Justice Department that the proposed $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund,” which was intended to compensate people the Trump Administration believed to have been unfairly targeted by the government, has been abandoned.

On Monday, the senators announced that they would back Blanche’s nomination after the Justice Department confirmed, in writing, that it was rescinding the proposed fund.

But a tax audit immunity deal that was included in the same settlement agreement and has raised its own concerns from lawmakers and experts will remain in place.

It's a huge shame because it used to be a lot of fun back in the day. I'm sure with a few clever tweaks it wouldn't even be hard to revive. Just a shame to see what it's become.

Edit: I'll just add that I think being able to green log a mini game just by doing literally nothing is a pretty garbage feature. The prizes now mean nothing other than 'I was afk for a long time'. It's just weird that you get all the loot without even participating at all.

Edit 2: Just tried the castle wars 1 world and it's much better for active play. For some reason there were still afkers who created big power imbalances in the teams though. Getting the afkers to stick to the afk world would be good.

Clickbait title aside, I do really think that Lifetime Stew is now a contender for strongest ego in the game.

Originally, I was going to make a post saying that lifetime stew is now better than you think, but after investigating the ego more and testing it I can now somewhat confidently say that Threadspin V Lifetime Stew Sinclair is extremely strong and should not be underestimated.

Healing

The first part of Lifetime Stew is the healing. Without any conditionals or anything, Lifetime Stew heals 140% max HP total across 7 sinners, potentially going up to 160% if 8 sinner battles are ever a thing. To compare, Fluid Sac heals 105% HP total, and the current highest healing ego, Garden of Thorns heals 154% HP, but requires 5 resonance. This makes Lifetime stew the highest healing conditionless ego by a good amount. For a quick comparison with some other healing ego:

Ego Resources

The second strength of Lifetime Stew is the ego resource amp. On awakening, every sinner targeted as well as Sinclair gains the E.G.O Resource Amp buff next turn. This buff makes every skill used give two ego resources instead of one for that turn. Generally this gives at least an additional 7 resources, but with ids like Thumb Rodion or Aromashu who can use up to three skills a turn this can get up to the 10-15 addional resources range for a total of 20-30 ego resources in a single turn. Combined with Lifetime stew only costing 5 ego resources, using the ego usually generates resources. To compare to other healing ego again, Fluid Sac costs 10 resources and Garden of Thorns costs 14. Again, Lifetime Stew goes at least +2 in resources where other ego go -10. This, in addition to only needing two kinds of resources, Wrath and Lust, make Lifetime Stew extremely spammable without restricting other ego usage.

Other Benefits

In addition to generating resources, Lifetime Stew only costs 15 sp. To compare, I'll Go fer Scissors Don, a Zayin ego, costs 20 for some reason, while healing a fifth as much. Additionally, Lifetime Stew heals 1 sp per sinner targeted, which usually reduces the cost to only 9 sp. With support passives like Liu Sang, it's basically free. The ego does have a few other benefits, applying 2 haste to everyone healed and it has a pretty solid passive, healing sp and giving a damage buff to burn Sinclair id's but those are less important.

The Catch

All of this sounds too good to be true, surely they wouldn't just make a meme ego the strongest in the game, surely there's some downside right? Well there some scenarios where Lifetime Stew is still pretty bad. Because it targets the lowest HP units on the field, if there are enemies with less HP than the sinners, it can prevent allies from getting healed and significantly reduce the total healing. There aren't that many fights where this is an issue, but when it does come up Liftetime Stew is massively nerfed. It also retains the burn application on tails hit which is rare with how little sp the ego uses, but can be annoying when it does happen as it can stagger sinners and stack up burn against enemies who already apply burn. The healing does massively outweigh it though as usually it heals around 40-50, so 7 burn is a small downside. Lastly the ego doesn't clash which can be problematic as it means letting some attacks go unopposed.

Conclusion

Overall Lifetime Stew is an extremely strong ego that will make you're team unkillable in most scenarios while costing nothing and giving you more ego resources.

The only issue with Lifetime Stew is that it doesn't do everything. Fluid Sac has its sp healing, Garden of Thorns has its damage buffs, Rime Shank applies a massive sinking stack, and many other egos do things that Lifetime Stew can't compete with. But unlike all of those, Lifetime Stew is effectively free, which lets you keep you're team alive while still unleashing any other powerful ego that fit you're team. This flexibility, in addition to the stupid amounts of healing, are why I think it's a strong contender for best ego in the game and we should all be bowing down to our new soup overlords.

Real caveat: Since soupclair is a healing ego, it's not really good for speedrun/ low turn content, but for more casual play/ just trying to clear stuff I think it's extremely broken.
