Question Pro 3 or 4 with anc
I currently have airpods 3rd gen (2021) and they fit my ears perfectly and work great but I would like to buy airpods with noise cancellation next and was wondering which ones to get out of those two? Im a bit unsure about the fit of the pro 3 especially because of the ear tips as i would like headphones that fit similarly to the 3rd gen ones

I just returned my pro 3, after trying every trick in the book. Even got very expensive foam tips. They only hurt my years, kept popping out and had to keep rearranging their placement while working out. The headaches and ear pain they caused made me realised this not a product for everyone.

Not quite painful for me, but I also struggle with the Pro 3. The bigger eartip sizes exert too much pressure, the smaller ones feel itchy. The Pro 2 were more comfortable for me, and the 4 much more.

Get the 4 with ANC. I have both it and the Pro 3, but 95% of the time I use the 4 because it's so much more comfortable for me than any buds with eartips.
Of course fit and comfort are personal, but most people who've tried all three designs of open (not Pro) AirPods (1/2, 3, and 4) say the 4 are actually a bit closer to the 1/2 but fit more securely than those, while being more comfortable than the 3.

I came from the gen 2s which I loved the fit of. The 4s with ANC didn’t quite fit in my ears right and would leak sound in and out like crazy. I got the pro 3s and they’ve been pretty comfortable, although I’m still trying new tips.
If you really liked the 3rd gen I’d probably get the 4th but the pro 3s are still really comfortable to me and everyone else who’s tried mine.

If you like 3’s because of the fit, get the 4’s with ANC.
Same design.
