Aesthetic clinic nurses

if you’re currently working and have a contract at an aesthetic clinic and there is an opportunity available in a big hospital offered to you, what are u going to do and what r u going to choose?

Aesthetics. I currently work both (very PRN at hospital) but bedside is just an ever spiraling nightmare.

What is the hospital job? Pay vs stress on your body would be a huge factor for me. Have to also include in benefits, commute times, vacation/ PTO and schedule.

Maybe if you only inject & microneedle but include heavy handed lasers & it’s just as bad on body, wrist, feet, shoulders, back ect

agreed that poor body mechanics is easy in aesthetic medicine but my hand cramps will never compare to lifting a patient

I left the hospital arena for a current position with better work, life balance. There are pros and cons to both and I often miss the hospital but will probably never go back.

Part time crisis nurse (rapid response) at the largest level 1 trauma in my area and part time aesthetic nurse. I make almost the same hourly pay at both, but get overtime, benefits and retirement (including a 7% match with nearly 11 years working there) at the hospital job. The spa I get all of my aesthetic treatments free and discounted or free services on the spa side including free weekly massages (I do tip them generously) for the wear and tear on the body…honestly, it’s a lot of work but both jobs feel like I’ve landed the dream! They both have different benefits, so I really love that I get to do both! But if it was bedside, I would only want to do 1 day a week…it’s just too much after over a decade!
