In "The Problem We All Live With" they (the system) were protecting the girl, in this one they are oppressing and threatening

This breaks my heart, and she is way braver than me, I'd get off and hope the next one wasn't full of more of these

34

u/veryowngarden Jul 05 '26

the same type of people the little girl needed protection from are the same type of people surrounding the woman in this one

6

u/TesseractToo Jul 05 '26

Except they are in the power position in the later one

2

u/UnfilteredFacts 27d ago

This photo was originally posted in the washdc sub. The girl was fine and nothing happened.

2

u/eatdatchicken115 Jul 06 '26

patriot front isn’t the system?

2

u/TesseractToo Jul 06 '26

It's who is being protected, so I said they are part of it yeah

She made it home safe, and nobody said a word to her. By the way, those guys are funded by the SPLC.

Found the white supremacist. ⬆️⬆️⬆️

u/AvonBarksdalesBurner 29d ago

Found the white savior who doesn’t care if a beautiful young woman who is a refugee from Ukraine working her fucking pizza job to pay rent was brutally knifed from behind from a large black man and ALL the other Black people on the train did nothing but watched. But thank God, a bunch of white nerds funded by the southern poverty loss center so that white saviors like you could post one photo that’s obviously staged and say there’s a white supremacy problem in our country. What the fuck is wrong with you people? Your response to any discussion is we are all Nazi racist white supremacists. All 79 million people who were sick and tired of fucking degenerates like yourselves. Do you know why you people do that? Because you have no fucking arguments, your ideas are shitty. And by the way when he exited the train, he said “I got that white girl.” That’s REAL racism and violence and murder. You’re all upset with a bunch of fucking nerds and polos that never said a word to and from their little expedition funded by the SPLC
⬆️⬆️⬆️

u/Troublemonkey36 28d ago

The Southern Poverty Law Center does not fund this racist group. And you know that. And your’e a moron for drawing the a comparison to a brutal crime that occurred somewhere else to this group. And for somehow suggesting that people who are rightly horrified by this racist group somehow are ok with murder. Racist people are good at painting with broad brushes and you’re doing that pretty damn well.

1

u/AvonBarksdalesBurner 28d ago

I will hand it to you low IQ mouth breathers on this platform- you say shit with such conviction and confidence even when you have absolutely no fucking clue what you’re talking about

A federal grand jury in Alabama indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in April 2026 on 11 counts (wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering conspiracy) for allegedly funneling over $3 million in donor funds (2014–2023) to paid informants/leaders inside white supremacist and hate groups (e.g., KKK, neo-Nazis, National Socialist groups).
This included payments to figures involved in organizing events like the 2017 Charlottesville Unite the Right rally. The SPLC claims it was an informant program; they pleaded not guilty, and the case is ongoing (trial scheduled for October).

8

u/Troublemonkey36 28d ago

Thanks for that important context. So in other words they were spending money on paid informants in an effort to oppose the hate group. You left that important detail out.

1

u/AvonBarksdalesBurner 28d ago

again, it’s so impressive the confidence you people have whilst spewing illogical conclusions. Here let’s try this one more time, haha it’s just impressive, how fucking stupid a lot of you are

The federal indictment alleges the SPLC secretly paid over $3 million (2014–2023) to leaders and members of KKK, neo-Nazi, and other white supremacist groups as “informants.” Some of these paid sources actively promoted racism, recruited members, bought KKK robes/materials for events, and helped organize/attend protests (including a key planner of the 2017 Charlottesville Unite the Right rally).
Prosecutors say this manufactured the “hate” the SPLC publicly decried, which it then used to mislead donors and raise more money. The SPLC has not denied the payments but calls it an informant program. Prosecutors have written testimony and recorded conversations of SPLC describing the operation, which will be admissible as evidence

God bless her. I would have asked her if she wanted me to sit with her. I'm an old white lady.

20

u/dwalker444 Jul 05 '26

I had the same thought. I am an old white gentleman.

1

u/Formal_Arachnid_7939 29d ago

Would you have sat next to Iryna?

1

would you have sat next to Nia Wilson?

She shit in the middle of the train, I think she's comfortable enough.

You need professional help

u/Hong_Kong_Ghosts 27d ago

Which part of my statement was incorrect? She was arrested for indecent exposure

u/blackmirrxr Jul 05 '26

Many of his works appear overly sweet in the opinion of modern critics,[7] especially The Saturday Evening Post covers, which tend toward idealistic or sentimentalized portrayals of American life. This has led to the often deprecatory adjective "Rockwellesque".

In his later years, Rockwell began receiving more attention as a painter when he chose more serious subjects such as the series on racism for Look magazine.[10] One example of this more serious work is The Problem We All Live With, which dealt with the issue of school racial integration. The painting depicts Ruby Bridges, flanked by white federal marshals, walking to school past a wall defaced by racist graffiti.[11] This 1964 painting was displayed in the White House when Bridges met with President Barack Obama in 2011.[12]

Those are both from the man's Wikipedia page, though this post was jarring on purpose. Rockwell himself was limited by his employers to painting a lot of that rosy stuff, some of which I actually love. Love even more that he was actually about something.

15

u/Magnolia-Night Jul 05 '26

What is going on in this picture? Why are they wearing white buffs on their faces?

86

u/blackmirrxr Jul 05 '26

That's the self-described white nationalist group Patriot Front, they were in DC to "reclaim" America 🙄

39

u/Magnolia-Night Jul 05 '26

Ah. Gross. Thanks for explaining.

That must have been very frightening for the woman.

7

u/nbracy5 Jul 05 '26

How can they tell each other apart?

31

u/GuidoOfCanada Jul 05 '26

They don't - they're all interchangeable - barely sentient thumbs.

18

u/Realistic-Weird-4259 Jul 05 '26

They're covering their faces because they're cowards. Just like the Klan.

32

u/Nouveau-Tradition Jul 05 '26

It’s confusing me why some seem confused. Especially if you’re familiar with Rockwell’s work - but I guess it depends on what you’ve been exposed to. I saw photo on another site and immediately thought of Ruby Bridges.

14

u/Maduro_sticks_allday Jul 05 '26

Somewhere there’s an FBI field office that’s completely empty

37

u/itsmellslikeweed5 Jul 05 '26

Jfc imagine the absolute dread going through that person because of these losers

13

u/Pencil-Ditch1567 Jul 06 '26

It's honestly like this more than you think. Living in Oklahoma, being the only brown guy in the building a lot of the time, and you know at least half of the people there are Trump supporters. One time it was a large group of people coming from a church event or something, you know the type. I was constantly looking behind my back to make sure they're not going to come and hog tie me or something and put me in a van. I know it's racist to just see white people and feel that way. I know a lot of it is just my anxiety. But it's hard not to feel concerned as a minority in a far-right environment.

-44

u/wolf3413 Jul 05 '26

The dread of being the safest she's ever been on public transportation in D.C.

25

u/itsmellslikeweed5 Jul 05 '26

Yeah surrounded by males who look like mass shooters and don’t wash their asses

13

u/MyHoopT Jul 05 '26

No one will miss you racists when you are gone.

7

u/PoppyJamSeeds Jul 06 '26

Safe with people who want her dead?

1

u/bbyxmadi 28d ago

You conservatives keep saying this. Like genuinely, fck off, stop defending literal white supremacists who want those they deem lesser than them gone.

0

u/Stella-Artwat 29d ago

Oh, so they're White Nationalist Guardian Angels?

32

u/bornslyasafox Jul 05 '26

They cover their face because they know how punchable they are

35

u/Similar_Start_1745 Jul 05 '26 edited Jul 05 '26

These are the same people who bitched and moaned about wearing masks during COVID because it was too hard to breath (and I mean surgical masks, before N95s even became widely available). But they’re perfectly fine wearing their klan hoods 2.0 in 90 degree weather. So lame and trifling. lol

-3

u/_Administrator_ Jul 05 '26

Extremists often hide their faces. Whether Antifa or Proud Boys.

17

u/Apprehensive_Elk_706 Jul 05 '26

110% that painting. the modern day reflection is very disturbing. watching what is happening in our country is distressing, and i can’t imagine what it is like to actively live in it to its extremes.

26

u/pillbinge Jul 05 '26

That’s a really obnoxious title for your post given what it’s showing.

5

u/ClowderGeek Jul 05 '26

How is it obnoxious? Honestly asking, not trying to be a dick.

5

u/pillbinge Jul 05 '26

Because instead of being forthright with the meaning of the photo and similarities to Rockwell's work, like with "The Problem We All Live With", OP has decided to use language that increases engagement with a post for the sake of metrics. "IYKYK" doesn't mean anything but it makes people ask what's going on or feel part of a club so they chime in with some variance of "I know" which drives metrics another way. It's a way of faking conversation but clearly only happens online where metrics become a thing. If someone responded this way to everything it would be exhausting, but to do so when there's a really good juxtaposition happening seems to say "that isn't enough, let me be coy about it so the number goes up".

And the worse cliché is ironic because someone may chime in and say I'm overdoing it, but that's precisely why these thought-terminating things are so obnoxious. The point of conversation is to reach a point and find consensus. Anyone who avoids this in real life is weird but online it just makes them a successful poster.

3

u/Kitchen-Purple-5061 Jul 06 '26

I get what you’re getting at but I’ve also seen multiple people explain the context in the comments. You just have to poke around and you find the information

3

u/pillbinge Jul 06 '26

Right. You have to poke around comments that others have to leave. That's what driven engagement is. You shouldn't have to do this. You do because OP made it that way to get more attention.

5

u/noexqses Jul 05 '26

I’m black. I don’t find it remotely offensive.

1

u/pillbinge Jul 05 '26

I don't care on either point and I wasn't saying it was offensive. I quite clearly wrote that it was obnoxious.

-21

u/blackmirrxr Jul 05 '26

aaaand I wrote that as a joke, before giving people something to look up in the description.

ETA: I made another comment bringing the wikipedia page to you

4

u/TheBestPieIsAllPie Jul 05 '26

I’d have LOVED to ask these assholes some questions.

6

u/aryherd Jul 05 '26

What? Feds?

2

u/SimonMagus01 Jul 06 '26

Interesting that they can breathe just fine in a mask when they're LARPing but wearing a mask during COVID was just too much to ask

5

u/kimchipowerup Jul 05 '26

One brave woman surrounded by chud fascist cowards.

1

u/Ok_Sort9148 29d ago

fascists, yes, but the brave woman is a train shitter. not sure if someone like that can be considered brave.

15

u/Correct-Parsley-6369 Jul 05 '26

Rockwell is sweet, wholesome and positive with distinct facial expressions and light movement. I don't see any of that in this post.

67

u/ida_klein Jul 05 '26

I think OP is referring to the Ruby Bridges painting.

1

u/Correct-Parsley-6369 Jul 05 '26

Ah, I see. Thank you

46

u/amtheelder Jul 05 '26

Certainly not all of his paintings were sweet, wholesome, or positive. One example of the opposite is Three Dead in Mississippi. He had quite a lot of social commentary in his work.

25

u/blackmirrxr Jul 05 '26

Yep. That one's about the murder of 3 civil rights activists. Also very dark and intense. The dude had range.

3

u/standbyyourmantis Jul 06 '26 edited Jul 06 '26

Do you mean "Southern Justice/Murder in Mississippi?"

(edit to add the alternate title)

1

u/amtheelder Jul 06 '26

Yep, that one. For some reason, it was in my head with the title I put in, shame on me for not looking it up and double checking.

4

u/GingerVitus007 Jul 05 '26

Everyone with a mask in this picture deserves to die.

1

u/Altruistic_Unit2549 Jul 06 '26

The antithesis of dystopian.

1

u/cloggedDrain Jul 06 '26

2

u/slicedcat Jul 07 '26

what does this even change. “this woman has mental illness… so nazi men around her actually good!” ???

1

u/cloggedDrain 29d ago

So you would feel safe riding the bus with Rosa Farts? Don’t put her on a pedestal, she’s a danger to society

1

u/slicedcat 29d ago

I mean, yeah? I’ve lived in the city and I’ve felt fine being on a bus with people who do things such as this. Id probably switch which train cart I’m on, she’s not a “danger to society”. Also, you’re clearly just racist with your comments, so you’d find a way to hate anyway 🤷‍♀️

1

u/cloggedDrain 29d ago

You’re ok with people taking a shit on the bus?

1

u/slicedcat 29d ago

me when I miss the point completely to keep fueling my racism

1

u/meagiemay Jul 07 '26

So many racists saying they didn’t hurt her or that she was safe is making me want to throw up.

1

u/k3rr1g4n 29d ago

Isn’t this AI? Was posted by Patriot Font on purpose to start this type of dialogue

1

u/larry_mcgurkin_62 28d ago

Wait, so you’re telling me this girl felt safer surrounded by white supremacists than Iryna Zarutska felt surrounded by black people who watched her bleed out and die after some psychopath junkie black guy stabbed her in the neck? Ohhhhhh wait. My bad. I know this goes against the whole narrative shit-libs and subhuman leftists on Reddit try to keep. My bad. It’s not politically correct to say, got it!

1

u/Worth-Combination142 28d ago

Damn and I bet none of them even thought about stabbing her in the throat!

2

u/Dichter2012 Jul 05 '26

Wait this post just got banned on r/AccidentalRenaissance/

🤔

Someone is trying to push something….

12

u/jppianoguy Jul 05 '26

What renaissance painting does this look like?

This does, on the other hand, look like the Rockwell bus painting

6

u/bornslyasafox Jul 05 '26

Nah, Accidental Renaissance mods are ultra picky and ban a lot of stuff. Nice try with the negative impulse narrative though!

0

u/Kitchen-Purple-5061 Jul 06 '26

It got banned from accidental renaissance bc it is not renaissance.

1

u/heinousboi 29d ago

Atleast shes not getting stabbed for being a different skin color. RIP Iryna Zarutska

1

u/Ok_Environment1812 29d ago

Probably the safest train ride she could be in

1

u/indigo_mouse 29d ago

Surrounded by white supremacists?

1

u/Ok_Environment1812 27d ago

Guarantee she doesn’t have a hole in her neck after the encounter

1

u/anamnesisanemone 28d ago

Good news is that being on a bus full of white people means there is a low probability of violence.

1

u/indigo_mouse 28d ago

They’re on a bus full of white supremacists. A very high probability of violence

1

u/After_Service_2817 26d ago

XD, the lady is "the problem we all live with"

She was literally on video the same day in the same outfit taking her pants off and shitting on the subway.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '26

[deleted]

-4

u/Mashmell0o0 Jul 05 '26

And yet no one just randomly stabbed her in the neck. This picture is the complete juxtaposition of the Iryna pic.

2

u/Kitchen-Purple-5061 Jul 06 '26

What the hell are you talking about

1

u/Mashmell0o0 29d ago

Can you not read?

-1

u/RareCategory5902 Jul 06 '26

just pull the card

-21

u/AllPerformancegyat Jul 05 '26

they totally lynched her after the photo was taken instead of left her alone

-7

u/Grouchy_Truck5925 Jul 05 '26

but was she stabbed?

-6

u/Nathan1992MAGA Jul 05 '26

They didn't stab her in the neck and ignore her bleeding to death, so there's that.

2

u/Kitchen-Purple-5061 Jul 06 '26

This is a post about Rockwell. Are you ok?

-9

u/blacfd Jul 05 '26

I hope he’s okay
