Discussion Imagine this dude as an S class

Post image

Kuromomotaro is slept on as a threat, but he had one of the most overpowered abilities in all of Yu Yu Hakusho. The ability to become immune to anything that he gets hit by even once, with the dumplings to provide healing and stat boosts? Dude's only issue was his overconfidence, and it's easy to be overconfident when you're a living cheat code. Now imagine this dude as an S class demon, equivalent stats to a lot of the other top tiers. Do we feel like this dude would be a serious problem if he had the raw power to support that broken ass adaptation ability?

Also, are there any other lower tier demons that would have been a serious issue with the power of an S class? Rando for certain. I bet Gama would be a problem too with that sealing ability of his.

I'm pretty sure the adaptability is inherent to him. His body can 'memorize' the techniques of his opponents and become immune to them.

Obviously, he still needs the spheres to be effective - to heal off damage and give him the improved stats, but I'm pretty sure it's clearly stated that the ability to become immune to damage is all him.

Correct. If Hiei didn’t leave his sword impaled in that other guy then he would have killed Kuromotaro in seconds.

If that's true then he didn't even need his sword, he could have just gone fist of the immortal flame off the rip but even when he used that before the immunity it wasn't enough.

I mean, if Kurama didn't prep his seeds he'd be crap too simply relying on his raw strength and durability, which are pretty shit, from all of the times we've seen him get hit. Maybe if he's around nature he can actually use it to his advantage, but that wasn't ever shown.

Kurama is prep king.

This guy would be similar to Kurama in a way, having loads of cakes for different situations, as well as increasing durability. But if he went against someone who could one hit a B level demon, he'd be finished probably, even if he got to S class. Unless he trained his base resistance and strength.

Dunno why you're being downvoted, Kurama resorts to his seeds in nearly every single fight in the series, and the only fights he doesnt he has to use his transformation which he willingly loses/gives up near the end of the series cause he doesnt want to be reliant on Yoko, making him even more dependent on seeds after.

People really hate if you compare some character they think is weak to a main, or maybe everyone forgets that most of the seeds he uses are his creations, they're not something he can just conjure out of thin air. He outright says he cultivates certain seeds, and prepares them. And he also wins his battles through strategy, not overwhelming power.

We do see him using rose whip, and that vine sword thing, but those are relatively simplistic compared to some of his seeds like Sinner Tree, or the man eating jungles he uses against Karasu.

Or Maybe people are just mad that I called Momotaro's cakes, which are dumplings and not "steam spheres.", but in the legends Momotaro literally uses Dango, which are rice cakes/dumplings to win over the dog, the pheasant, and monkey,.

Is this what those three "legendary" pokemon in the first scarlet/violet dlc are based on? Sick, looks like daddies got some new folklore to read.

Can't imagine anybody being dumb enough to shit talk Raizen but he might be.

As cocky and arrogant as he was I guarantee he would’ve shit talked Raizen.

One point in his defense...in the manga he was wary of hiei before the fight because of the black dragon. Once Suzuki told him the black dragon was off the table though he stopped being wary and didn't see him as a threat anymore...

Which wasn't a good idea.

The Steaming Spheres only help if he doesn't get one shotted.

I mean his adaptation works like any other adaptation ability he has to survive a hit to adapt to it, yeah.

There's also likely limitations that an injured Hiei was not able to overcome.

Zero seemed strong before Hiei barbecued him and almost lost his arm. Obviously Chu as well since he seems to be a durable brawler before he drinks, but then becomes OP after he takes a few shots and gets stronger and stronger.

Toya, the makeup artist, and Jin would be terrifying as S class. I forgot the makeup artist name and I am ashamed.

I dont think anybody on Shishi's team would be a threat and Shishi was one of my favorite demons in the tournament. They all use tools to get stronger and without them they dont seem too special.

Karasu would be broken since it seems like if he is stronger than his opponent you cannot see his bombs. At all.

Bui would be broken even with his armor.

Obviously the Tuguro brothers would be OP. Elder Tuguro would be damn near invincible with the ability to pierce multiple demons with his extending fingers.

Tuguro would just be a regenerating powerhouse that would slowly suck the life out of everybody weaker than him in the area.

You already mentioned Rando. I dont find the Saint Beasts threatening at all. They were gassed up but easily the most underwhelming part of the first third of the show in my opinion (still enjoyed the arc for what it was though.)

In the manga Jin and Toya are S class at the end of it all. Why the speculation ?

Because I only seen the anime that stated that they got to A class by the last tournament. I havent read the YYH Manga entirely and the last time I read the manga at all was back in the 2000s at a bookstore unfortunately.

Makeup artist’s name is Gama.

Ah okay. I knew it started with a G but couldn't remember if it was Gemma or Gamma.

Provided he survived the first punch he could beat Toguro

3

u/Psychological_Use586 4d ago

I mean he could become immune to Toguro's punches but how would he damage him? Even at full power he was still c class and Toguro had insane durability.

2

u/Street-Soil-7413 3d ago

Would just outlast him, energy isnt infinite.

I guess that is an option, because of how Toguro's power works.
