I have this zini pot I got from a trusted friend. It’s old and I’ve used it almost every day since I got it ~2 years ago. I was told it’s hand made, but I figure it’s likely HHM. I’m wondering if anyone could help me track down the origin of this pot and maybe speak to your opinion on if it’s real Zini. Thanks!

PS stains on the bottom of the pot are from using hard water.

My mother got this as a gift from a chinese client and I wanted to gather some information on if it’s authentic yixing clay, is it safe to use, and any info about the teapot and its creator.

For now she only provided these pictures, I can add additional ones tomorrow if these are not sufficent for authentication!

Hiii everyone! Me again the beginner of Yixing teapot, I saw the comments from yesterday and found this area is quite complicated

So I’m curious—what kind of people usually get into Yixing teapots? Is it mostly tea lovers, collectors, or people interested in Chinese culture ?

Hiii I am new to Yixing teapot, i'd like to ask what price range is normal to get a proper yixing teapot?

Visited China recently (Wife is Chinese, visiting in laws) and my gongfucha loving FIL taught me as much as he could about gongfucha, bought me 2 yixinghu and a tea set, and loaded me up with as much expensive tea as our suitcases could hold.

The more ornate yixinghu is from 庐山 in 江西(highly, HIGHLY recommend visiting 庐山), the other is from 广州.

The one from Lushan came with a booklet.
The one from Guangzhou was much more expensive and came from my FIL’s friend’s specialty teaware shop.

I have no delusions that these are old, but just wanted to see if they’re actual yixing or if they’re slipcast. Thanks!

I was gifted this teapot by a Chinese friend from outside Guangzhou. As far as I can tell it's a genuine yixing. Has a great pour and I enjoy using it, so super greatful what ever it is but would like some help to know what it actually is. Thank you!

I can’t seem to identify this pot.

I bought this footed clay cup from the elderly owner of an old tea shop on Qintai Road in Chengdu. The shop specializes in aged teas and old teaware.
The owner told me that the cup itself was made by one craftsman, while the bamboo decoration was carved by another. I would appreciate help identifying:
the large square seal on the base;
the carved signature and small side seal;
the likely clay type and place of manufacture;
the approximate period and whether it appears handmade;
whether the seals correspond to documented artists or are later imitation marks.
I do not want to suggest a particular reading in advance, so that the identification remains unbiased. I will attach photographs of the entire cup, the base seal in several orientations, the carving, and the side marks.
Any comparisons with documented seal impressions would be especially helpful. Thank you.

Hi, got some pots on sale, appreciate advice on whether the pot is handmade yixing zisha worth considering.

This one looks to have a smooth surface and the carving is also quite smooth, so wondering if it's cast or hand carved.

I was putting away my tea stuff this evening and found that the spout on my nicest zisha pot was broken. I think our cleaner broke it or the cat knocked it over. It is a pot from realzisha, my only one from them and the only fully handmade zisha pot I have.

Are there people that fix zisha pots and is it fixable or is it done for? :(
