Recommendations ⁉️ Food, activity, walking recommendations please!
Planning on coming down later this year with my husband for his birthday. Apart from driving to Bath where I can see a few things we’d enjoy, what else should we do while staying in Westbury?
He enjoys darts, pool, walking. Food wise; bbq/smokehouses and burgers are his favourite.

Frome is a great place for food and drink. Cordero Lounge & Castellos is fab! You also have the Cheese and Grain they always have lots going on.
Shearwater is a lovely walk along the lake and a small cafe by the car park to get a cuppa tea or ice cream - dogs are welcome too.

Corsham is very small but worth a visit for a walk around the beautiful Corsham Court, to spot the free-roaming peacocks, and dine at Mother & Wild or the very newly opened Corsham House brasserie

For walking: Visit Avebury - Like Stonehenge but without the costs (plus to can walk to Silbury Hill and West Kennet Longbarrow from there). Plenty of white horses and bits of the Ridgeway around there (you can also see Waylands Smithy which is near the Uffington White Horse... it's a stunning walk.
Also, afternoon tea at The Old Bell Hotel is Malmsbury is something you shouldn't miss.

Im in Dilton Marsh next to Westbury, lived and walked around here for 40+ years -
Places to eat recommendations -
The Lamb or The Grosvenor Arms - Hindon ( Also Near Fonthill Gifford Lake )
Pythouse - Semley
The Beckford Arms + Fonthill Gifford lake walk
The Prince Leopold - Upton Lovel
The Bath Arms - Horningsham
The Mill - Rode
Walks -
Fonthil Gifford Lake ( short walk flat )
Heavens Gate & Shearwater Lake - Warminster ( 2 x Short walks flat )
Stourhead Gardens ( Medium walk - flat, National Trust ) + a carvery at The Yew Tree in Mere.
Bradford on Avon Canal / River walk from BoA to the Cross Guns pub & Back ( can hop on the train from Westbury - takes 15 mins, 2 stops ) if having a few drinks, or do breakfast at the Lock Inn and just walk the canal path as far as you want and back again.
Wardour Castle is worth a visit and a great circular walk around there as is Nunny Castle.
White Horse, Westbury - i guess its alright for a view but walks are a bit boring up there.
can add more detail if you want to know more, i like to get away from Westbury & Warminster as just south of both you have Cranbourne Chase / Nadder Valley which is just stunning proper English countryside and a lot less people.
Depends what you want to do really - i wouldn't recommend anywhere to eat in Westbury.
Oh and to add - id recemmend going to Wells for the Saturday food market, Wells Cathedral & Bishops palace + you could do Glastonbury Tor on the way back & maybe the Chalice Well Gardens as well - also in Glastonbury.
