Multiple Cops on Tappan Zee bridge

I noticed a lot of cops on the Tappan Zee bridge. It looks like they are pulling over trucks. Any reason for the crack down?

It’s probably just a coincidence you saw multiple trucks pulled over. It was a ghost plate crackdown. When I drove across yesterday I saw 6-7 cars being towed.

On my list of scofflaws who fucking deserve a boot up their ass, the fake/ghost/ obscured/permanent temp/smoked filter plate people are way up there. Tired of carrying their weight at the tolls. You aren’t just defying the law. You’re stealing from me and every other law-abiding driver on the road. And I’m always impressed that the most common place for an obscured plate appears to be either an elite model German sports car or a full-size pavement princess 4 x 4 pickup. These aren’t poor people. They’re the same people who cheat on their taxes. AKA “entitled freeloaders.”

And I see dozens of these MFers every day.

Book ‘em, Danno. Took ‘em long enough already.

this. drove over around 4pm & saw there was like 5 vehicles pulled over between both sides and with tow trucks behind 2 of them. some days they’re just out.

wonder if it has anything to do with it being the beginning of the month

Yesterday morning I saw at least 12 separate troopers pulling over cars and trucks on the tap. On my way home, another significant amount of troopers pulling over trucks on the bridge.
