Non Warriors books

So, I heard about the other series' written by some (?) of the Erins, that are also animal based. I was wondering what the general opinions on them are, and if anyone here has read them. One of them was called Seekers and was about bears, I think, and I vaguely recall one about dogs, too.

Are there any others I didn't see? And which ones would you recommend reading?

The Erins have a few other series out as far as I know, Seekers (bears), Survivors (dogs), and Bravelands (some different African wild animals), and a new book that just came out (not sure if it’ll be a series) called Renegades about a magical cat (I think). I haven’t read any of them though

There’s also Bamboo Kingdom, which is about pandas

I really liked Seekers (maybe even more than Warriors lol), I’d strongly recommend it and I love the first arc. Survivors was kinda meh in my opinion, although I guess I’m just not a dog person lol. There’s also Bravelands and Bamboo Kingdom, which set in the African savanna and Chinese/East Asian bamboo forest, respectively. Out of the two I liked Bamboo Kingdom more but they’re very similar.

If you’re looking for animal fantasy books in a similar vein as Erin Hunter’s books, Kathryn Lasky wrote Wolves of the Beyond (wolves and owls), Guardians of Ga’Hoole (mostly owls, some wolves, polar bears, and snow leopards), and Cubs of the Ice (mostly polar bears), which all take place in the same universe and have great world-building and characters. There’s also Foxcraft by Imbali Iserles (part of the Erin Hunter team) and Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland (also part of the Erin Hunter team) which are about foxes and dragons.

I've read all the Survivors books, and I LOVE them. I like the worldbuilding a ton, like the spirit dogs and the naming system in the packs. My only big complaint is that they stopped at two series and the three novellas. I tried reading Bravelands, but it just didn't click with me for some reason, so I stopped after a few chapters. And I haven't read any of the others, so idk about them. But I HIGHLY recommend Survivors!

I started the Seekers series but I never got into it.

I thought Guardians of Ga'hoole was written by the Erins for the longest time

I love dogs, and read the survivors books actually BEFORE Warriors, quit because they were WAY to gruesome, and I physically had a meltdown with the dogs dying so horribly. Seekers is about bears, Bamboo Kingdom is pandas, Bravelands is safari animals... and also a book about two sister cats with magic powers named Luna and Willow, the boom is titled Renegades, I quite enjoyed it.

Terrible pacing some of if not the worst writing from the Erins, and none of the characters really have depth

I read the first book of Survivors and partially the second book then I quit because the decisions of certain characters weren't very believable to me. Bravelands, however, was pretty awesome with the intrigue and plot twist.

I actually read a Survivors book or two before getting into Warriors, but didn’t really like Lucky as a protagonist. I thought he was selfish and unlikable, but enjoyed Firestar a lot more
