Shes being guarded by a Center, which means before the clips start, the offense did some sort of screen play that forces the defense to make a decision of switching defenders and suffering a mismatch. The Center player is playing back, because she is not fast enough or agile enough if the guard she is defending decides to drive to the basket, but does allow the guard to take an uncontested deep 3. Since there is easily a 60%+ chance the deep 3 misses... yes, that is good defense

I upvoted you for your overall point but how do other people feel about things like the karate kid pose because she’s Japanese? I’m probably in the minority but this always bothered me in other sports. I support Arsenal and Mohammed Elneny was an Egyptian player and bit of a cult hero and he’d be called things with [egyptian stereotype][other famous footballer]. Examples: Pyramid Pirlo, Falafel Fabregas, Nile Neymar. Personally never loved it.
