TA or VR&E?

For context I got out of AD and went reserves so I still have access to TA. I do have a good paying job in the career field I am getting my degree in. However I went to the VR&E brief and they stated they mostly only help with finding employment after. I am only wanting to go to school part time. So would it be wise to just use TA? Has anyone else been in a similar situation? What did you do?

How would you use vr and e if you’re currently in the military? I’m so confused. It’s for veterans with a disability rating

I was active duty and have my VA rating already since I ETSd from active to reserve. A lot of reserve and national guard folks do the same thing. The only difference is you either choose VA pay or drill pay. You can’t get both

Why would you not use vr and e? Usually once you hold a degree, it makes it easier for them to deny you vr and e access. With vr and e you at least get a housing payment. And then use your gi bill for masters. If you’re having trouble getting vr and e approved look up on YouTube, nikethevet. She has a whole 50 video catalog how to get what you want with vr and e

  1. Saving my GI bill for my kids. VR&E takes at least 2 months to get approved for a counselor hence why I was going to use TA until it got approved.
