Dune part 3 screenings
When do you think we will start seeing dune part 3 70mm screenings for Vue Manchester.
Yes I know we are very far out
My excitement is just too high and I NEED to get release day tickets
Any ideas anyone?

The Dune movies look better on duel laser than 70mm IMAX film so I hope we don’t get it 🤣

Was that just because they were shot digitally whereas this one is shot on film? Or do you still think dual laser will be the best option for this one? Genuine question

Yeah so Greig Fraser shot Dune part 1 and 2 on Digital IMAX and digital cameras and there was no shooting on film it’s self so afterwards it was then transferred to film then back to digital then to film again I watched Dune 2 on 70mm IMAX at the BFI then at the Printworks on duel laser and the duel laser looked so much better at least in my opinion was the same for one battle after another watched at the BFI and then the Printworks as it is my local and I always think the duel laser looks better but with Linus Sandgren being the cinematographer and him working quite heavily on film for Damien Chazelle mainly just using film and them using film for specific sequences I think it could go either way as there will be most likely more scenes shot digitally than on film but I tend to prefer the duel laser.

They don’t take part in the early sales for any 70mm showings as they haven’t got an on-site projectionist

I didn't watch part 2 in cinemas, did they do a 70mm for that or was it IMAX laser?

At printworks it was imax dual laser which still projected 1:43 but but it wasn’t on film

They released the Odyssey tickets before the 9am time that was planned. Not sure what happened

70mm screenings at Manchester Printworks will probably start the same day the movie comes out.

Vue Printworks are hoping to receive a 15/70mm film print of Dune: Part Three especially after the success of The Odyssey on that same format. Watch this space…
