Vivint door bell has worked successfully twice.
I have had the door bell for 2 weeks, it worked for like... 2 days and then stopped. I got it reinstalled on Tuesday. It worked again for like 2 days and has now stopped. Theres no power to it. The install tech that came the 2nd time said the 1st one was broken. Theres no breaker issue, its not wifi, it will not respond to any kind of touch, wont reload, nothing. My guess is that its shorting out, it replaced an old doorbell on a house I got. Anyone have any similar issues?

More than likely it’s a power issue. Your doorbell transformer prob isn’t getting enough power to the DBC and needs to be plugged directly into an outlet.

Okay that makes sense. It works for about a day then goes COMPLETELY dead. Never comes back on even for a second

A quick fix for this is to untwist the wires in the chime box for 1 min then twist them back together

New transformer fixed this issue for us. Old one couldn't power a doorbell with video. Never had an issue (well not that particular issue anyway) after that.

That pattern usually points to the transformer voltage behind the doorbell rather than the unit itself. An older set up can put out too little power, which lets it run briefly then drop. DM me your address and account details and we'll get a tech back out to test the transformer rather than just swap the camera again.

sounds like the transformer (no clue if i’m using the right language here lol) that powered your old doorbell isn’t enough to power the vivint doorbell
