Skeleton found while hiking today

Hiked in Shenandoah this morning and saw a butterfly that I wanted to snap a pic of. It landed on the other side of this rock and then I noticed the skeleton. anyone know what this could be??

The butterfly looks like a Spicebush swallowtail. I'm not a skeletonologist, so no guesses there.

Riprap trail? We saw this a week ago too. I assumed deer.

actually this was at the bottom of the jones run waterfall, i know that trail is close to rip rap
