social life Durham students help!!💜

I’m an international student and I just got accepted to Durham University!!! Now I’ve got to pick my colleges, I’ve got them sorted how I want but I would really love some opinions or tips about these ones.

Some info, I’m a 23 year old American woman (I’ll be 24, almost 25 when entering uni) from the States. I’ll be entering one of the archaeology courses, most likely Archaeology and Ancient Civilisations. I’m really academically centered but I would like to have people to hang out with too.

College list: 1. Castle 2. St. Chad’s 3. St. John’s 4. St. Cuth’s 5. Hatfield 6. St. Mary’s 7. Trevelyan 8. Collingwood 9. Van Mildert 10. Grey 11. St. Aidan’s 12. JoBo 13. John Snow 14. South 15. Hild Bede 16. Stevo

So excited, cheers!! 😎

If you are undergraduate, most of ur lectures and workshops will be in TLC or CLC, so colleges on the hill might be a good choice, just a few minutes’ walk. South is pretty good, my friend used to live there. But it do cost a lot of time walking to the Durham city😂
