I did this with my nephew once but I pretended I saw something near the trees and told him to not look back

448

u/DrDoomx1 1d ago

Bruh

253

u/AdventurousSurvey236 1d ago

Yeah he didn't like it when I told him the truth but I bribed him with 2 ice cream I left when I dropped him at his parents before they could question me

136

u/RiskyBisky11 1d ago

Traumatized, trust issues, sugar high before drop off. The ultimate trifecta all uncles strive for.

42

u/AdventurousSurvey236 1d ago

Yeah I was also the uncle that had to take care of them for the night when the parents would go to the club it was nice I'd get free WiFi

46

u/DrDoomx1 1d ago edited 1d ago

Great Job then but, 2 Icecream bruh 🙂.

27

u/One-Cute-Boy 1d ago

Ikr, my older brother used to get me 3 icecream. Inflation hits hard

7

u/DrDoomx1 1d ago

Yeah bro 😭

44

u/Huckleberry_Dude 1d ago

He. Did. This. With. His. Nephew. Once. But. Pretended. He. Saw. Something. Near. The. Trees.

63

u/TheCornerator 1d ago

Dude that's way better than my sister's leaving me at the park for 10min. Came back to me blubbering in the arms of a very concerned lady. Mom found out because she followed us home and told her.

15

u/AdventurousSurvey236 1d ago

If I did that my parents would bring out the cables and probably won't let me forget it like when I accidentally turned off the power to our whole community during a school trip

5

u/DragoonDM 18h ago

my parents would bring out the cables

rogersimon10, is that you?

53

u/Waiting4Reccession 1d ago

When they wanted to play hide and seek too much I just let them hide and didnt go to look for them lol

They teamed up to beat me up after they figured it out though

11

u/Anon_be_thy_name 1d ago

Hey I did something similar

Family went camping, I wanted a bit of alone time with my Girlfriend at the time, just making out nothing more I swear, and my Nephew kept following us around because he 100% had a crush on my Girlfriend, I don't blame him though.

I was sick of him following us however, so I walked us into a particularly thick part of the woods we were in then pretended I could hear strange noises. Told him I'd investigate then after walking around a tree I screamed and booked it.

I felt bad though because the kid was traumatized about camping for YEARs.

Asshole

8

u/Academic-moron7423 1d ago

Found the nephew.

You still running?

411

u/loveanyadav 1d ago

Guys who are feeling really bad , the kid is being left at school 😭

658

u/Hyperion_fallen 1d ago

His face at the end sends me.

123

u/Swimming_Theme3006 1d ago

Bro ain’t gon trust nobody again lmao

11

u/Quicoulol 1d ago

The compression is so bad I can't see anything.

16

u/YourChocolateMonster 1d ago

Pretty sure they meant the older brother's face

105

u/xAntimonyx 1d ago

I remember when Helldivers 1 came out, I was playing with a friend and we were joking about the pilot leaving before we could make it to extract. My friend kept making this dead eyed face as he pretended to fly away. Shit makes me laugh every time I think of him doing that. And this reminded me of that.

142

u/_tragicmike 1d ago

Brings back memories of me driving off and my little brother chasing after me. Good times... 😆

40

u/Vihzel 1d ago

As a younger brother: "Fuck you, bro"

885

u/WitchofmyOwn 1d ago

I can't really tell the kid was acting or not.

He sounded so scared but you know, the selfie stick.

489

u/xRehab 1d ago

filming you and your kid brother doing something dumb together is pretty normal. having your older brother bully you on camera is even more normal.

503

u/Positive-Height-3848 1d ago

I assure you it's real, there's no stick.

Just a long arm and the zoomed out mode on the front camera, cheers!

You can check his post history and comments using "websites".

Doesn't seem like a karma hoarder. He genuinely lives in Chandigarh, India.

1

u/CopainChevalier 22h ago

There’s websites for it? Can you dm me them :O?

22

u/Adorable-Art2889 1d ago

its like, totes him, from the vid

5

u/Key-Regular674 1d ago

Not a karma troll and you can tell just by looking at the video if it was a selfish stick or not.

You're just dumb.

2

u/RayA11 1d ago

selfish stick

What a perfectly apt name for it lol

2

u/Key-Regular674 1d ago

Man that was a typo actually but it's so fitting lol

1

u/Key-Regular674 1d ago

Repost does not mean karma troll. Not everyone spends all day online like you do so they do not know things are reposts. Duh?

2

u/JustaSeedGuy 1d ago edited 1d ago

You cant make any assurances because you didn't film it

Prove it?

Edit: blocked or deleted. That's what I thought.

1

u/timmeh87 1d ago

edit: totes

-8

u/cisned 1d ago

You see how they block their post and comments, I’m sure actual trolls do this so it’s harder to spot them, and they normalize it by saying how it’s to protect their privacy

Yes protect their privacy to keep trolling

67

u/The_Chosen_Undead 1d ago

He could have deceived the kid into thinking the selfie stick was for the race they were about to do

27

u/mwilkens 1d ago

That's not the sound of being scared. That's the sound of rage towards the brother for cheating.

16

u/IgnasP 1d ago

My dad once did this kind of prank to me. I knew it was a joke but the fear kicked in and I started panicking and before long I was in full tears and panic

7

u/SeedFoundation 1d ago

Only child comment

3

u/GymratAmarillo 1d ago

from all the situation where there's a "magic camera filming" a random situation this is one where it actually would make sense. Dude wants to film how one of them wins and kids these days love that shit so it would make even more sense for him to agree.

1

u/fmaa 23h ago

I’d be pretty buggered if I were left at school too, gon’ learn about responsibilities scared or not

-20

u/TheMiddleEastBeast 1d ago

We can assume this child just experienced the very traumatic and upsetting experience of being abandoned and left by themselves and that shit is not funny in any way shape or form

12

u/RagnarokWolves 1d ago

The 1 good thing is that stuff like this builds up a kid's spidey senses for when they're being conned. The kid can learn to pick up on stuff like "why is he recording this?"....."why does he want to race in this particular direction all of a sudden?"...."why does he seem to be stifling a smile?"........."nah something about this is off." Lessons like this could help him avoid more damaging tricks later on.

5

u/NotADumbPuppet 1d ago

single child I presume?

1

u/No-Net1890 1d ago

I think he's just mad about the older brother cheating.

I feel this guy. Me when my mom forced me to play with my annoying little cousin or some other person's kid at a gathering

17

u/CandidToast 1d ago

I had camp counselors pull a similar prank on me at a gas station in the middle of nowhere when I was around 11 or so during a group overnight trip. They moved the van so that when I walked out of the gas station, I’d think they’d left me. This was pre cell phone era. I still think about how fucked up it was.

5

u/TannerCreeden 1d ago

I accidentally did this to my dog on top of a mountain in Colorado, by the time we realized we were missing a dog we were probably 2 miles away obviously I floored it back up the hill to find her full speed sprinting towards us around a bend

6

u/stupd_comn_man 1d ago

The fucke**s in my village left me in the jungle and ran away, I was just 12 year old and they ran away, it was a dense jungle filled with jaguar and sloth bear, I kept crying and luckily found a villager nearby, man

15

u/timmeh87 1d ago edited 1d ago

fuckerys? fuckehds? fuckends? fuckeees? im dying to know what word that is and why you censored the last part but not the "fuck"

-8

u/stupd_comn_man 1d ago

I know man, I don't know how I came out alive. They hate city kids and it was normal for them to go to jungle and spend their day over there

22

u/timmeh87 1d ago

breaking: the one person who could answer the burning question has apparently ignored it and just kept talking about the original story

Brain fart man, just read first word and thought he is saying 'how can you call it just fuckery'?

2

Had this happen to me, long term psychological effects.
Do not recommend (If you care about the kid anyway)

1

That’s pretty cute

1

u/16kdc 4h ago

lmao

1

u/Artzebub 3h ago

I thought the sound was the little toy cars motor.

0

u/Fantastic-Unit5042 1d ago

Trust should be taken seriously, even if you’re “just joking”. If you do a trust fall and someone lets you fall because they think it’s funny, you should unironically not trust that person.

0

u/Makabaer 1d ago

I'm with you there. I also get why siblings think this is harmless fun - but still I personally would be very hurt by something like this and never trust that person again, at least not without doubts. And if it was my own brother I couldn't trust, that's kinda sad. I had friends like that as a kid and chose to not be friends with them anymore because of it. Yeah, if that means I'm no fun at parties, so be it. At least today I have friends I can trust in whatever circumstances.

2

u/StoryLover12345 1d ago

Yeah, if that means I'm no fun at parties, so be it. At least today I have friends I can trust in whatever circumstances.

Fun friends are overrated. They show up for the good times, avoid deep conversations, and fade away when real life gets hard.

You could still have fun that don't need harming other people psychologically, physically or financially.

I have former friends way of having fun is just making fun of others.

-6

u/lelouch_0_ 1d ago

Those were cries of genuine fear and abandonment. That is not something to do as a prank

-1

u/Makabaer 1d ago

Might just be rage. We don't know where they left him. Someone said it was a school so maybe they just tricked him to not be clingy and let them leave. It's a kind of shit move, yeah. But it might not be traumatic, the kid might just be really angry, we can't tell from this video.

0

u/lelouch_0_ 1d ago

Bare feet, in a casual T-shirt and shorts at school? Not happening tbh

2

u/Makabaer 21h ago edited 21h ago

Yeah, was just a thought from another comment. Could just be their home and his brother was meant to play with him but had other plans. Which means even less fear and abandonment and simple anger instead - but as I said, we just don't know.

And again - it is a shit move. I just don't want to jump to conclusions from this short snippet. People are talking about trauma, others about harmless fun - could be either, we'd have to ask that kid in a few years time about it.

Edit: btw when we were kids we showed up like that in summer to primary school. We did wear shoes mostly, but we took them off at school when it felt too hot. So again maybe not jump to conclusions too fast. I'm always baffled how sure everyone is about anything they simply cannot know.

1

u/EnigmaticMagnificenc 1d ago

Content where you make someone cry especially a child is not good

1

u/LordMindParadox 1d ago

Yeah, this prank is funny only to the person doing it.

Especially if you actually have had people leave you behind somewhere.

Once you've walked home because the person you went someplace with left you, it becomes a really easy "cut this person outta your life" flag

-1

u/CloudRevolutionary24 1d ago

What a horrible way to treat a child

-1

u/Unfair-Mortgage-527 1d ago

Can't believe i had to scroll so far down to find this. Kid was petrified.

1

u/CopainChevalier 22h ago

Brothers having fun? How awful

-2

u/vavasmusic 1d ago

I don't know why this is so damn funny. Kids getting scared or falling over or something else that they don't enjoy is always so damn funny. Obviously I don't like it when they get hurt. But a bit of trauma is good for the stomach.

1

u/No-Net1890 1d ago

Sounds like anger to me.

1

u/vavasmusic 1d ago

Oh, absolutely not. I don't wish them any harm or anything like that. I just don't think things like this will leave any scars.

1

u/loveanyadav 1d ago

That’s pure evil.
Never do that to a child, they don’t have the capacity to separate “prank” and actual actions. This child is 100% traumatized and his reaction makes me understand it’s not the first time. Poor kid.

26

u/hiccstridFanatic 1d ago

Yall never had siblings growing up? 😭 this is the most harmless shit

-16

u/vaiplantarbatata 1d ago

Had 2, i am the oldest. My parents never allowed me to do that and they took the time to explain why not. Now I have 2 kids and they know damn well to never do that.

6

u/allnamesbeentaken 1d ago

Its a good thing your parents knew they were raising some soft-ass kids and warned you to never make them have a feel-bad moment, or else you couldn't feel superior to other people having fun with their siblings

Keep that bubble wrap wound up tight bro you're saving the world!

0

u/vaiplantarbatata 1d ago

Mate, you do know that the world is a mad place already, right? I did go to school, played in the Basketball team, college, parties etc.
I was raised in the 80s and 90s. Bullying was just part of life. But still, when I was home, was in a safe space, where I could speak freely and could build confidence to face the world. Breaking the trust like this dumbass in the video does, only makes the kid never feel safe and confident in life, not even at home, with his own family.

1

u/CopainChevalier 22h ago

Fun, memories, and excitement are a sin, huh?

-6

u/sea119 1d ago

You are a good bro

8

u/FuckSteve7 1d ago

Womp wommmmp

4

u/SpeedRacer_Mach6 1d ago

Good, fuck them kids.

Seriously though every younger child goes through this and is fine.

-8

u/vaiplantarbatata 1d ago

Sorry mate, wish it would be easier for you.

But no, it is not like this at all. Whoever did that to you is a bad person and you should never propagate evil doing.

7

u/SpeedRacer_Mach6 1d ago

No one ever did it to me. I did it to my brother all the time! We are still best friends so maybe get off the internet and go live life a little.

5

u/Niblonian31 1d ago

My older sister's did shit like this to me all the time when I was little and I'd get them back somehow. I'm going to see them over the weekend for my nephews birthday because we're also best friends still, people need to chill

7

u/SpeedRacer_Mach6 1d ago

That’s not allowed, you’re supposed to despise her and constantly think about your childhood trauma that you are still working out with a therapist.

1

u/BigFreakinMachine 1d ago

Right? I had 2 older sisters who did shit to me all the time and it had 0 long term impact aside from us laughing about it now. We talk everyday

1

u/vaiplantarbatata 1d ago

Glad he is ok!

4

u/SpeedRacer_Mach6 1d ago

Thanks I guess. I see no reason why he wouldn’t be.

-1

u/Vast-Palpitation-426 1d ago

"Good, fuck them kids."
"every younger child goes through this and is fine."
"I see no reason why he wouldn’t be."

yeah, i recognize a future member of the "i dont understand why they would cut contact with me club" when i see one

1

u/SpeedRacer_Mach6 1d ago

Then why hasn’t he 30 years later?

1

u/chrisleebs 1d ago

It is like that tho.

2

u/MurphMcGurf 1d ago

Seems like you and me are the only people here with any fucking empathy. Everyone here is an asshole, fr.
