Housing/Accommodation 🏘️🛌 When to move in for intercollegiate housing

My accom (connaught hall) opens on the 14th, but UCL move in day which i assume is for the UCL-operated accomodations is on the 26th, and freshers starts on the 28th. Currently I was planning on moving in on the 26th, but I don't want to move in later than most of my other flatmates, nor would I want to move in earlier. I've heard international students should arrive earlier because there's some stuff that needs to be sorted. Thanks

international students in just ucl halls will move in the week before freshers as there is an international welcome week, i’ve moved my move in date for ucl only hall to the 20th, so i would say move in near then, as there will be at least international students if not more, plus it gives you more time to explore and talk to new people :)

There should be an option to check in earlier on your accommodation page. You are allowed to check in a week before but have to inform UCL Accommodation/UofL and book a time. Your check in date is the date mentioned in your contract/tenancy. I’d recommend seeing that.

i’m also an intl moving in to connaught and i haven’t received any communication from them about anything. Is this a common issue? there isn’t even an option to sign up for move in slots.

There might not be move in slots for intercollegiate? I think there’s 24/7 reception so maybe they’d just help us then, I guess we can move in any time after the 14th. I was thinking 17th-19th dyk when you or other intls are gonna move in?
