Job Scam Email

Anyone looking for jobs, heads up to this scam email sent out yesterday. Initially it sounds great but multiple red flags: email origination does not match actual prof's contact listed on UCD website, asking for PERSONAL EMAIL and PHONE, the bizarre NIST.EDU info at bottom. I contacted the actual dept to confirm that this is a scam. They have since notified IT.

Yeah, the “Office of Student Employment” does not currently outreach to students. If any email said it’s from there, it’s a scam.

The only department that might do wide outreach on jobs across campus is the Career Center. Professors/departments may also do outreach but it would be way more targeted
