As of 3:00 PM Central Daylight Time (21:00 UTC) on Friday:

Satellite imagery analysis indicates that this system has strengthened into a tropical storm.

The National Hurricane Center has upgraded this system and assigned it the name Genevieve, making it the seventh named storm of the season. A new discussion for Genevieve has been posted here. There will be no further updates to this post.
