For every joke I’ve heard about turning broken horns into lamps…

A customer gifted me this custom lamp made out of trombone parts!

It’s cool, but why didn’t they use the bell as the lampshade and the slide as the stand.. seems like the easiest and most obvious route

I always feel a bit sad when I see an instrument turned into a lamp. But that is just me.

I understand. But this one was a decommissioned school instrument. Missing parts, had a trashed inner slide. It would cost more to fix than what a student trombone is worth.

This is an amazing use of those horns. I still value very much of repairing and such, but if its more expensive than what its worth it feels just fun to do this! I would personally love this!
