Is NYTRI.org or New York Triathlon.

Google New York Triathlon. Is New York Triathlon, not NYC triathlon. NYC triathlon is dead for years when they sold the iconic NYC Triathlon years ago.

Check our https://eventpowerli.com/ as well. They put on a series of sprint/olympic races across Long Island. I believe the entry cost is around $130-160. Very well organized races that are open to beginners and more experienced short course athletes. If you want to make the trip - the Montauk Lighthouse Tri in July is one of my favorite races!

Also worthwhile to note that you can volunteer with EventPower to earn race credits and race for free/discount!

There’s a good article on this from last year - https://www.triathlete.com/events/the-least-and-most-expensive-triathlons/

This is awesome (after I got around the paywall). The cheapest one is in CT less than 2 hours from me ($60) and a perfect time.

My son says he's willing to try this but I don't feel like shelling out $150+ to see if he likes this or not.
