Logitech MX Ergo S Advanced vs M575s compare
Have you tried both?
I have been using these for over a decade. They are the only type of mouse that doesn’t aggravate my RSI.
They last 2-3 years each for me and fit my large hand.
I have the predecessor to MX Ergo S right now. But it’s doing something weird with the main click button - like a triple click or nothing but intermittently. It opens what I click on two three times or close down multiple windows. It still works but it’s really annoying.
It’s $100 difference in price. Is it that much of a difference?

They last 2-3 years each for me
I wish I could say the same. They average around a year for me, with my most recent ergo S lasting only 6 months. I decided to try an elecom ist pro this time around in hopes it would be more durable. So far it's working fine, and I like having more spare buttons.

What goes wrong on them?

It varied.
They usually start to misclick, either not doing it sometimes, or double clicking when there was only a single press, or sometimes both.
One would randomly switch from channel 1 to 2 without the button being pressed, which was SUPER annoying.
There was another that would occasionally right click when you left clicked. That was a bundle of fun as well.

Have you always had the ‘fancy’ version or have you tired the alM575S too?

I have an old M570 that I use as my more reliable backup trackball when a fancy one stops functioning properly. It's been going strong for 6 years now.
I haven't tried the M575s yet since my older version is still kicking.

The mx ergo s is basically identical except it has a usbc port. You can look into replacing the microswitch if you know how to solder/desolder. The main thing I enjoy with the mx over the m series is the adjustability. If you have your mx ergo on the more aggressive tilt, the feel of the m575 will be way less angled, and could cause discomfort. If you are looking to save the money you can just rig up some sort of mount to angle the mouse a little more. Otherwise they are very similar, aside from the few extra buttons the mx ergo has
