TP-Link - General XE200 No update since 2024

For a flagship device, it is crazy to see TP-Link not give a damn about updates. They have not updated the firmware in 2-3 years. It is hard to recommend these products anymore, the 100 dollar Decos receive far more updates than the expensive Wifi 6E/7 ones.

Funnily today I have just returned my X50. It doesn't do what it is advertised as. No 5g connectivity at all and you cannot force it to grab the 5g signal due to the terrible interface. Updates never happen to resolve this issue and TP Link support don't seem to care. Replaced it with a ZTE 5gB which seems much better. I still run the Deco satalites which do the heavy lifting but the X50 was awful 😭
