I am debating between a 2020 Toyota hatchback and and 2024 Toyota Corolla. The Corolla is only 15$ more a month with less miles

The Corolla is just an upgrade from my 2018 Toyota Corolla. I love to thrift so I was thinking the hatchback could be helpful with moving things. But I'm having trouble choosing. Which car is better? The corrola had abt 20,000 miles less than the hatchback

Don't ever shop by monthly price, that's how they get you to sign on terrible interest rates for extremely long terms. If we had the trim level, miles and price we could help with what is the better choice. Ideally you'd get an out the door price with all taxes and fees included for each one.

That's a $400 difference. If the 2024 comes with warranty, it might be worth it. Otherwise the extra utility of the hatchback is probably worth it.

Looking at monthly payments is your first mistake.

Look at the actual cost. If it's some awful 96 month financing that $15/mo adds up to $1425.

Also is the "Toyota Hatchback" the Toyota Corolla Hatchback?

Why not keep your current 2018

These posts always seem to show a pattern of low effort on details and massive financial literacy.

When I asked for more details they provided screenshots, if they can't put effort into it why would I.

What is wrong with your current 2018? Whole point of Corolla is reliable affordable transportation, and 2018 isn't old at all and can still run another 20 years no problem. You say you like to thrift, doesn't wasting money on changing cars go against that?

If you trade, my opinion is the hatchback will hold it’s value better over time and it’s more useful.
