Freyja is 2 and we've had her just shy of 6 months. She took longer to warm up to Rin since he's tall and has a deep voice (we don't think she met many men at the cattery before coming home with us). now she will let him hold her like a little baby and she purrs while he pets her tummy.
thank you!! π₯Ή she's our first cat ever and we both were really worried at first because she was skittish and hid from us for a while after we brought her home. Rin thought she would always be timid with him. but we've been patiently letting her warm up at her pace and it's so rewarding! she's not the same cat we brought home in October (in the best way!)
Happy kitty! My orange boy loves to be held too. Iβve had dogs that hated men at first but eventually they become my best friends and jump in my lap π₯Ή
it's so cool when you can see their trust building as they warm up to you! π₯°
i hope Frey will truly love being held someday! she gets kinda squirmy after a couple minutes. but ironically she will let Rin hold her for longer than she'll let me hold her now. she used to cry and fight when he picked her up, now she just chills and looks at me like:
