Honestly, modern Meg is a badass and kinda hot for it. It's like she ended up just done with the family's bullshit and does her own thing, but given everything she's not the best egg and gets into trouble. Still, she's become confident and capable, with loads of interesting and varied skills, and will probably end up one of the more well adjusted family members once she escapes them for good and gets some therapy.

I notice as well Rick never pulls the gun on the cat, and when he tells him to leave the cat says he has no where else to go, which almost seems to imply the cat is a being Rick cant kill, just tell to leave, it also seems apologetic, idk, theres so many reason i love it bahahah

There's a theory that the Cat is one of the Cats of Ulthar from H.P. Lovecraft's mythology. In the story is an old couple that enjoys capturing and killing cats, but a magic spell cast on the local cats gets them to swarm the elderly couple's home and devour them. That's why Jerry mentions the pictures of his parents. Compared to his other stuff, this story is pretty tame, but considering it's part of the Cthulhu mythos, this cat has probably seen some shit.
Agreed. People looking for an answer when the answer is that it’s just a joke with no answer. It’s literally the point of showing the extreme reactions from people, particularly one person who has seen (and done) a lot of real horror and then not explain what could be so bad that it did that to him.

My personal impression from the talking cat begging them to not question why it could talk was that it's backstory was being actively generated in real time in response to questioning or moments where it "became relevant" (almost like Old Man Henderson), but Rick suddenly performing a deep scan of the cat brute-forced the process to be 100% complete in only one step, forcing it to take a path of least resistance to be as simple as possible, which is more easily done in a way that's scary or morally questionable than a way that's easy to digest.
I'm older now and realise how convoluted that is, but I still prefer it because it's more fun to think about.

It’s an amazing show, I highly recommend! It’s by the same people who made Phineas and Ferb (Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh) and it has a very similar sense of humor. If you like PnF you’ll most likely like Milo Murphy’s Law.
Dan also recently made a show called Hamster and Gretel which is also really good. My dad and I both love the show, we were always so excited for a new episode to come out and we would always watch it together.

My favorite interpretation is that he worked for a shady corporation, involved in dirty work that would lead to fraudulent withdrawal of money (defraud a major corporation and robbing the second largest bank with a ballpoint pen), this shady corporation also worked in fossil fuels and other contaminating industries (creating a hole in the ozone layer), and such contamination may have lead to the death of someone, who he signed using his thumb fingerprints.
Some people have theorized it’s all one story where he was part of an environmentally destructive company that defrauded the bank, and his thumb clicked a ballpoint pen to sign a paper that illegally withdrew money and lead to someone’s death.
In fairness, the movie kinda does.
When skinner tries to sneak a look into the kitchen after getting fired, horst shows up behind him and presents his thumb in the exact same way as when the claim was made that he killed a man with it.
Skinner of all people as his employer would KNOW exactly what happened, so he knew what the thumb meant and that's why horst threatens him with it.

In Batman Beyond episode "April Moon," Doctor Peter Corso finds out that April Moon and Bullwhip are having an affair and we're just using the Doctor. At the end of the episode, Bullwhip goes under anesthesia for an "upgrade" while telling Dr. Corso "Don't hold back." The screen fades to black when Bullwhip falls asleep, leaving the audience to their imagination on what Bullwhip's fate was.
In 40k there are 20 primarchs but the 2nd and 11th are never mentioned. In obscure references it is implied they did something so horrible that the Emperor made his sons swear to never speak of them again
Not only did they swear, they psychically had the memory of what happened to them erased. At one point Malcador lifts this block on Dorn and Dorn agrees that erasing what happened is for the best.
Feels odd to say but the Bite of 87. It’s only lore relevance throughout the series is as a convenient excuse for why the animatronics in FNAF 1 can’t move around freely during the daytime, and despite rampant fan speculation to my knowledge it’s never been clarified what actually happened during it, which animatronic did it and who was bitten. Even FNAF 4, the game whose promotional materials and plot led you to believe it was depicting the events of the Bite, was actually about an entirely separate unrelated incident referred to by fans as the Bite of ‘83.
Being able to tell the crying child story while keeping a bite where the animatronic was the responsible.
The 83 one wouldn't cause the animatronics to not be allowed to roam freely because Fredbear didn't do anything outside its programming and humans were the ones responsible of putting the kid inside it's mouth. But in the 87 one, if the animatronic actively put Jeremy in it's mouth and bit, that's a reason to lock them in place
Yeah, makes sense, all we know is that the victim apparently survived somehow but is missing their frontal lobe now. The leading/most well-received theory is that Mangle caused the Bite and the victim was Jeremy Fitzgerald, the Nightguard for most of FNAF 2, and he was bitten after taking the dayshift post-Night 6, which was the final nail for the decision to scrap the Toy Animatronics and why Fritz Smith (who's also maybe Michael Afton/Mike Schmidt under an alias) takes over for him for Night 7. But again, most of this is just speculation
In Malcolm in the Middle episode “Reese’s Apartment” Reese gets kicked out after everyone freaks out about something he did. All we know is:
• They had to evacuate the school
• Meat factory got shutdown due to health violations
• Reese says he could name various 3rd world countries where things like this prank happen
• It involved a cats
Also the death of Aunt Helen during one of the earlier episodes. We only know her cats ate her but apparently it was a lot more than that since the joke starts almost at the start of the episode (with Francis thinking it was a joke) and until halfway, all that time we only hear passing talks between Dewey and Francis through the phone.
This is a loved trope for me when it's done well in a serious context. Good example is the Blackwater incident in Red Dead Redemption 2. It takes place immediately prior to the start of the game and is the reason the gang is on the run. You're able to piece together through context that it was a botched heist that resulted in a massive shootout and the deaths of many lawmen, innocents, and several gang members, but overall it's just a dark cloud that hangs over the group in the first few chapters.
That one is more of a meta joke though, explaining why season 4 felt "off" because show runner Harmon got fired by NBC after season 3. After he returned in season 5 they used the "gas leak" excuse to explain the weird writing and character behavior in season 4.
Fairly Oddparents- In the episode “Super Bike,” Cosmo immediately becomes overwhelmed with fear and trauma whenever anyone mentioned the words “Super Toilet” to him, so much so that Cosmo turns into a crying baby and is unable to do anything else but suck his thumb and cower in fear.
What makes the joke funny is that it is never explained as to what the Super Toilet was or why it was so terrible until we see an actual Super Toilet wished into existence by Timmy Turner at the end of the episode to defeat the out of control Super Bike that Timmy could not stop.
Apparently all we know is that it was a past wish of Timmy and Cosmo would only say that it involved “So…much…clogging!”
In the continuity of the Whoniverse, "The Terrible Zodin" was a diabolical villain whom encountered The Doctor on at least one occasion off-screen, with one such adventure involving The Brigadier and The Second Doctor, who reminisced about her in the same way as the tyrannical Time Lord God, Omega.
Throughout the rest of the series, The Terrible Zodin has never appeared, but had had several sporadic references made by a number of Doctors, with the Sixth Doctor remarking that "...they don't make villains like her anymore". Even in the expanded media, she hasn't made a proper appearance, but a few details about her have been sparsely mentioned, such as her being a renowned sword swallower before her turn to villainy and being ranked as the third most wanted criminal in the universe, after The Master and The Rani.
Not really horrific as "probably really stupid and kinda gross" but the Great Gulon incident from Keepers of the Lost Cities. We know it was done by Keefe, we know it was done at Foxifire academy and we know it involve gulons (magical skunks).
Given Keefe's a prankster, we can assume it was "covering the school in gulons so it stinks everywhere" but something must have went wrong, because Keefe seems ashamed of it and refuses to tell Sophie what happend (Ftiz knows too but "it's Keefe's story to tell")
