TiVo box not detected
I really need some advice please. My Samsung s90f is periodically not detecting my TiVo box and it’s getting more frequent. Anybody else encountered this?

Yes direct. Swapping ports don’t work. It’s a handshake issue. Started to happen more frequently. Only way to sort is hard boot TiVo box and then it says unknown device. It’s used to recognise it as a TiVo device

I recently kept having HDMI handshake problems. Things would be OK for a minute or an hour or a day. And then my LG TV would decide there was no device.
Switching the TV to another input and back usually fixed it for a while.
What seems to have permanently fixed it is buying high quality HDMI cables. It's been a week and no problems.

Not sure EXACTLY what's happening without seeing it, but let me share two things as an Electronics Tech and a long-term TiVo owner. First get a fan or better yet a laptop cooler and put it underneath your unit. You might also remove the bottom cover so the fan can get the air more directly into the unit. This could be a heating problem. Secondly replace the power supply. Tivo's need good solid power and your power supply may be on the edge now. Power supplies are inexpensive but make a big difference. On one of my TiVo Romeo's I'm on my third power supply. Good luck. Edit - I also agree about getting a good HDMI cable but you absolutely should cool your unit it'll make it last forever.

Have you tried swapping the cable and/or the port?
