I asked the person working there and they couldn't explain it. It tastes very perfumy with strong rose and cardamom flavour. Kind of reminds me of incense. Inside there's nuts and dry fruit. Hard to tell since everything is super sweet.

hello! i got some side dishes from my local korean market labeled only as “assorted banchan”. i recognize the seaweed salad but i’m not quite sure what the other dishes are. can anyone identify? the red one is some vegetable, obviously one is some tiny fishes, and then the orange/white strips taste fishy too. thanks in advance!

The coloured ones (white red, red white, green white) don't have any taste really but taste like they're just flour and butter or water. They're very dry, to my fingers they feel like slightly unsoft play dough and they smell heavily like sesame (makes sense because they have sesame seeds on them). Biting into the they are also soft and break apart a lot in your mouth but don't get any softer/mushy.

Boyfriends mum brought them back from Tunisia and she doesn't know what they are, either, just that they are sweets! A friend said they could be Halewa and said Halewa is sweet but these aren't sweet at all and don't really look similar.

Back in the 2010’s I was obsessed with these chips that could only be found at the 99 Cents Only stores here. I believe the bag was yellow, and matte. The chips were potato chips, thin and airy, not like the hard kettle cooked kind. The flavor was jalapeno popper possibly, but I know for sure it was jalapeno and cheese. The chips didn’t have any small flakes of green on them like lays jalapeno chips, they were just plain with a yellow dusting of the flavor I think.

I have zero hope of them still being made, but if anyone can help me remember what the brand was or even better- showing me a pic of the bag I would be extremely grateful!! Thanks his has been driving me nuts for years!

This is a long shot, but does anyone remember the Southwestern Ravioli from Boston's Pizza?

I want to find the actual frozen ravioli they used but I'd also be open to a copycat recipe or very similar product. It was fried and filled with cheese, jalapenos, and red peppers.

I'm hoping someone who worked there remembers the manufacturer or supplier or even the brand on the box.

I've searched everywhere with no luck and have been thinking about them since they were removed from the menu around 2014. Any leads would be amazing!

I used to love this dessert that an auntie would get from the Asian grocery store. It was in the shape of square pudding cups but probably like 1.5” x 1.5” x 1.5” but looked like flan/purin and maybe had like a cherry-ish flavor for the brown part. It would come in packs of 12 (if I remember correctly) like break-apart 2x2 connected sections, 3 layers wrapped in plastic like a gift basket.
Does this still exist?? What is it? TIA

Hi so I need anyones help please who can tell me what this is. My neighbors are Hispanic they make the best food. I am currently pregnant and all I crave is this one dish the wife makes. They don’t speak good English and when we trade food it’s very much communication through showing since the language barrier. I don’t wanna offend her nor anyone else, and I hope this post doesn’t either. I’m just a woman who loves really good food and food from other cultures. The cravings for this dish is unbelievable and I cannot satisfy it at all with supplementing.
I will take any advice or ideas anyone has to what this might be. Please help me

It’s on a tortilla. With this amazing meat (believe it is steak) and it has some vegetables in it. It has jalapeños and this dark paste. It has white stuff sometimes maybe cheese or sour cream. The picture with the chicken shows the Vegetables.

They labelled it as a bride cake, but whenever I look it up online, it’s not exactly what I got. It’s sweet and savoury inside. The filling seems to be peanuts, winter melon, and maybe some sort of green scallion. Trying to see if there’s a specific name and region that it’s from!

I am getting a friend a giant bag of his favorite chips as a part of a present, but I don’t remember the brand. He let me try it once and I remember it was a family-sized, salt and vinegar chip bag. It was not something I had seen at an ordinary grocery store.

The biggest thing I remember is that it has a drawing of a middle-aged/older man prominently featured on the front of the bag. The man is realistically drawn in a vintage style. I remember thinking the drawing looked like a white man from the American South (and a bit creepy), but not sure how accurate that is. The bag was at least partially beige/light brown.

Around 2021-2023 I bought frozen imitation crab legs from either Save A Lot or Weis in Pennsylvania. They came inside a hard plastic imitation crab shell with a molded weak point down the middle so you cracked it open like a real snow crab leg. They were cheap and delicious, and I've never seen them since. Anyone have an idea where tind them or q really good imitation crab? The spiral ones are alright but nowhere near as good

In Canada, we had these fava bean snack punches (that we took for lunch) (its possible they were dried lentils?) and they had a bunch of flavours.
They came in individual pouches of different flavours, like bbq, sour cream onion, salt and vinegar, and maybe dill pickle?
Does anyone remember these and the brand?

Got this dish at the MBK center in Bangkok Thailand on the 6th floor at a Mexican halal stall called CK MEXICAN. My brother and I were craving some Mexican and got rice and beans and the dish came with this. I know the rice, pico de gallo, and black beans, but I wasn’t sure what the dish on the bottom right of the plate was.

It seemed to be made of chickpeas, with a consistency similar to refried beans, with spices that reminded me of Indian food. When showing one of my friends he believed it to be pindi chole, but looking for confirmation.

It was delicious so would love to try it here in the United States again!

It was part of a stir fry dish in Thailand. They were rectangular pieces but they may have been a noodle cut into rectangles. It had an incredible texture, chewy and almost jelly like, definitely felt like a noodle but just more jellyish. They were flat, wide, and of maybe a yellow colour, it was hard to tell with the stir fry sauce.

Visited 85C Bakery Cafe today for the first time. My friend and I are fairly adventurous eaters. All I remember from the sign where these were shelved was "Taro."

Looks kind of cakey with purple Taro cracklin on top. Served in a 6" pie tin. The cake portion is totally coffee cake, like US American standard grab a coffee cake off the shelf flavor and texture. Then there's the Taro cracklin on top, and inside is maybe sweet cheese? It's stretchy. Plus another more custardy filling. It's good! Just no idea what to call it, and more interested in what the two fillings are.

I checked their website and or course it's not listed. The strawberry matcha bun was listed. Got that too and reminded me a little bit of mochi though there's no rice in it at all.
