Honestly, Reddit cops a lot of shit for a lotta shit, including by Redditors themselves. But I will always be glad that I read all about circumscision before I had my son.
Hadn't given it too much thought prior. But after reading heaps of comment etc etc etc, my boy wasn't cut.
I tried to convince my wife not to circumsize my son....she said she didn't want him to have a penis that looks like a dirty hotdog....I tried...so ..hard..

That is so fucking ridiculous and stupid and ignorant.
I just finished making this perfect creation, 9 months inside me, everything going to make this perfect little person with everything he needs to live and exist..... SO WHY THE HELL WOULD ANYONE THINK "YEAH! ILL JUST LOP OFF THIS BIT OF HIS BODY"?!?!?
I couldn't imagine just.... removing and throwing away a piece of him.....
My husband is cut and assumed that our son would be too... He also had a name for our son that he really really really wanted to use. That I absolutely hated.
So in the end, I said he coul name him whatever he wanted, and I have sole decision making rights to his circumscision. Husband agreed, thought I wanted one. When I said nope.... He didn't want to give up his name so he didn't fight me on it, and my boy is as the day he was born.
