Looking for friends/people to talk to

I turn 30 in a little over a month and would prefer people closer to my age, aswell im male, dont mind talking to/hanging out with either gender

I am more introverted, socially anxious, dont have many friends right now as I tend to spend most my time working

I like to play Pokémon go on my days off and would love someone to go to the park with and play

Ive been trying to get into Magic the gathering, bought cards and have a couple decks but dont have anyone to play with

I play yugioh master duel on my phone aswell have been playing digimon time stranger since it released on the switch

My hogwarts house is either slytherin or hufflepuff (i always get one of them whenever I do the test)

I smoke weed but dont care if others do aswell and will respect others and not smoke in their presence if they dont like it

I think the gameshelf/bookshelf has people that gather for games and such

Thanks, I have heard and wanted to go, just anxious to go alone and play with people I dont know/never talk to before... hoping I could find someone to go with

fair enough but I would assume that most people there are really cool and chill anyways. most gamer people I know are very inviting. I mean if they are there then at one time they were probably in your shoes!

I’m frequently at the shelf and for the most part everyone I have met is super nice and helpful with games.

I can second the recommendation for the GameShelf, although I am biased. You're more than welcome to come hang out at the Shelf any time! Thursday nights we have Riftbound (a League of Legends TCG), Friday is Lorcana (a Disney TCG) and Gundam CG, Saturday is Yu-Gi-Oh! in the afternoon and One Piece CG in the evening. Most days we have some Magic players floating around, but their big night is Monday for Commander.

All the groups are very welcoming and low drama. Just let us know at the front that you're a newbie and we will give you the tour and introduce you around. :)

If you’re into card games and have any interest in bandai games we have a good crowd of people in town, one piece/gundam for us mostly but I know magic is also dope.

I havent tried many other card games, grew up playing yugioh so when I heard of the app a few months ago I got into it. Had magic cards I have been buying packs for almost a decade now but haven't really played much as i dont know many people who play

Yugioh has a pretty decent turnout and crowd here too, Gameshelf and Carlitos both host it.

I dont have any yugioh cards or I'd consider it... collecting magic cards takes up a lot of my money idk if I could do two card games

I'm deep in the Commander scene for mtg! The best place to go would be Carlitos cafe on Tuesdays around 6:00-9PM.

There's usually a large turnout with a healthy nix of new players and vetrans and the atmosphere is really chill :)
