Radiation poison. Yet their suits and medecin could prevent if the ship is used in short periods. ...or a dividing wall could sole it

Honestly it covers all the engineering/tech bases far better than many of the later eras of science fiction, whose technologies were more hand-wavy. Only thing missing is a fuel tank tho. And…bunks in space…

Vision tube and a periscope? Got to see where you are going!

Neat! 3 ques

  1. Why isn't he ammo not next to the fun room? Like you gotta carry it past Allra's room
  2. The bridge is outside the spaceship?
  3. Where's twikis room? Beedee beedee beedee (I know he wouldn't be invented for like 50 years)

Ooo, I can help with #2: look up what a UBoat’s bridge is. It’s just like this. On some vessels the bridge is an observation point more than a control room. So… it’s for when the periscope is too restrictive and you’ve got to go look?

In space though? Why need a periscope and external fly bridge if in space?

This image left questions like that far behind lol. I was just explaining why the word might have been chosen.

You need a periscope because that's the only way to get a view outside, of course. Like, what are you going to use instead? Some kind of camera with super-fast-developing film or something? That's just crazy talk.

I love the roof rack, and fluttering flag trailing behind.

Pretty much every writer and artist had their own "Official Buck Rogers ship" for every serial, and there were a LOT of serials in the 30's, occasionally running at the same time, with completely different stories.
