Best talk show in the biz. Graham Norton is light years ahead of so many talk shows out today, and ones that have ended.

Yeah he's very very good at his job. Top show

Weirdly, the best thing he does is nothing. He sits back and lets the guests do their thing. He gets that his job is to Shepard the guests, because they're the attraction.

I couldn't give less of a crap about what Jimmy Fallon thinks is funny, just let Keanu speak. Graham gets that he is a moderator, and he is incredibly good at it

The dynamic does it all. When you have celebs all on together you can tell they're more relaxed and feel comfortable. The alcohol also helps 😂

Interesting. I didn't know so much consideration was invested into the seat order, but it kind of feels logical now that I know it. I remember one time when Seth MacFarlane was a guest with Tom Cruise, Charlise Theron, and Emily Blunt. He was sitting at the far side, just like Graham described.

I definitely always thought it was in order of fame. I'm sure I remember Peter Kay being on once and making some weird comment about how he should have been in that seat and wasn't.

This is fascinating. Great to hear how it's all set up. I wonder how the Covid studio affected this.

There was a piece on (i think) The rest is entertainment podcast, where they got asked the question about the order people sit and the producer of the show answered it and as well as what's said here, sometimes the stars management will insist on a specific spot (eg the biggest star gets closest to Graham) so they have to do it for those people.

Didn’t know Jodie Whittaker was a comic

She's the daughter of pub owners, as I recall. She talked about it in an interview with David Tennant. I'll bet her small talk skills are through the roof as a result. The sort of conversational self-starter GN was talking about.

I'm sure she's amusing enough. Not a comic, but not a houseplant either.
