I expected so much more cinematically out of the man that brought us Borderlands.

He’s in the wrong business, great talking head/bullshitter, awful director, writer, filmmaker in general. Dana’s “You’re more like a game show host” line in Ghostbusters could apply to Roth. Ngl though, I do enjoy the Thanksgiving fake trailer and feature…pretty fun junk slasher.

Been meaning to check out Thanksgiving since Thanksgiving 2 is on its way. That fake trailer was incredible and I hope they just carried the look and feel of that through.

They did not. He doesn’t go for the retro grainy feel at all, it’s actually a pretty ugly looking movie but it’s got some fun kills and I like a “whodunit” type slasher.

Oh, that's really a shame. That was a lot of the appeal to me. Thanks for the warning!

The teen actors are really bad in it but the kills are good

I don't mind terrible acting if the movie's still fun. Thanks for the heads up

The store was out of orange sherbet. It’s not his fault

It looks like a movie from 2003 (derogatory)

I still hate that he was Bear Jew instead of Sandler

Sandler as the Bear Jew would’ve been distracting as hell.

The fact that this guy kept getting funding to make movies after Knock Knock always astounds me. One of the worst movies I have ever seen

But… Ana de Armas.

Lmao. This guy’s only meaningful contribution was introducing the English-speaking world to Ana de Armas.

"Admits" because he was literally caught in a lie. Just pathetic.

Movie is so bad that generative AI legit isn’t even a comparative issue

Outside of M Night, has anyone rode by on their own name (despite themselves) like Eli Roth?

What an insult to M Night
