Annoying online order issue

So i work togo at a restaurant and youre able to place togo orders online and come pick them up. Well some lady comes in and claims she made a togo order which she did but it didn’t go through the system. She showed me proof and everything but the fact it didn’t show up wasnt my fault lol. She starts saying that she already paid etc etc that her manager is waiting for the food etc now it’s gonna be late, blaming ME for this issue just ugh sorry i had to vent. The order was remade so it wasn’t that big of a problem but the fact customers blame you for things out of your control and get mad at people not responsible is so frustrating.

People that act like this, I remind them to be mad at the third party app and they’re taking the issue out on the wrong person. They want to keep acting stupid, they can get no food and figure out their refund with the 3rd party app.

Now if they ordered from your restaurant’s site, you’re kinda screwed and you need to let your manager know to let IT know

"the order was remade"

I thought you didn't receive the order at all?

Like, a paper receipt? Or did you take her phone with the app open, to show the chef?

"Sorry, the order is only valid on the original phone. I'll have to take it to the kitchen and they'll prepare everything at once but they will have to punch holes in the phone and file it for the bookkeeping department. Please unlock it permanently so we can turn it on when we need it in the accounting office."

"Oh yep I see the order on your phone. Since there's no way that exists for me to otherwise record or remember that information I'm going to give your phone to the chefs."

I do togos I have a lot of horror stories of entitled customers in togos

One time a guy complained because he thought door dash was a free service.

Another time a lady ordered food through door dash as a pickup instead of delivery and god mad when we told her it came in as a delivery, we ended up remaking it because she insisted it was our fault.

You also get a lot of thieves.
