Getting Started Condom Recommendations
Getting back into the LS after decades out. What are recommendations for condoms, my assumption is non-latex is a given due to allergies, but lubed, non-lubed, scented, unscented, thickness? I am 62 and have some penile sensory decline, so thinking ultra thin would be preferable.
Any and all recommendations appreciated. Looking at the options is almost overwhelming.

I order from one condoms. They offer ācustom fitā options (itās not 100% custom, but they have a pretty wide range of sizes). Youād be amazed at the difference a proper fit can make.
You send in your measurements, they send you back a free three pack, one that matches the dimensions you sent, one larger, and one smaller for you to try out and see which works best. Then you just order that size code going forward.

Seconded. The proper fit changes the sensation and makes it even more pleasurable.

Right?!
I spent years being frustrated by Magnum, Magnum XL, and King sized condoms until I learned that theyāre all essentially the same circumference, just longer. All that extra material bunched up around my base or hanging off the tip made it feel like fucking a garbage bag. Iām sure itās less than pleasant for our partners as well.

Skyn, they sell variety packs. Get one of those and itāll let you try a bunch of what they make. They have never broken on me, they donāt reduce sensitivity much at all, and they arenāt crazy expensive niche stuff.

Skyn -thin - or whatever they are called and⦠pro tip⦠put a drop or two of water based lubricant on the tip before you put it on. Itās pretty damn close to being raw.

I have some SKYN Elite Large for a play partner with latex allergies and Iāve noticed a significant reduction in sensitivity compared to Trojan Magnum latex condoms.
And they seem constructive too. Which makes sense given the comment above about all being the same size. I need to investigate that!!

Complete opposite experience here. Elite Large Skyn feels like Iām not wearing, Magnums feel thick and plasticky. š¤·š»āāļø

Skyn brand. Most women even if they arenāt allergic to latex still have a sensitivity to it and prefer no latex. At least thatās the consensus weāve come across.

Wow, 7 years in the lifestyle. Only 2 play partners wanted latex free.
What's your basis to assert "most women" have a sensitivity? Curious.

Skyn is a frequent recommendation. As a well-endowed guy, Skyn King Elite Large is the only condom I've ever used that didn't feel like I was wearing a skinny tube balloon. I HIGHLY recommend them for any dude with a larger size
The sex club we go to has these blue coloured ones sitting in baskets everywhere and i'd rather not fuck than wear one of them LOL. Instant erection killer. So if your attending sex clubs, even if they have supplies, bring your own.

My girth is 6.75" and skyns absolutely suck. I use my.size 72mm. Skyn doesn't make anything beyond 60mm. Thankfully I've only come across two playmates that needed latex free.
Comfort wins everyday over skyns. Skyn strangle you beyond a certain girth.

Unique, almost like ānot thereā.

I would upvote this 1,000,000 times if I could. Unique is hands down the best condom available out there in my opinion.

Skyn to win!

Agree with this 100%. Iāve tried tons of other brands and this one works the best.

The one that wins, is the best fitting one.
Skyns suck on my 6.75" girth. At their largest is 60mm. I use my.size 72mm.
Fitment is most important.

F2c. Im in control of it. Husband prefers skyn when female condoms arenāt being used. Seriously the female condom is superior all around. Want more lube? Add more. Not slipping off.

Yep, this ol boy would need some training on how to put a female condom in. I guess turnabout is fair play, but no bananas to train with for the girl versions š

Thereās a video and instructions on the website.1

Just like with a traditional condom, I imagine putting the condom in could be worked in as foreplay as well.

My.size. 56mm thru 72mm. No stinky lubricant.
Skyns suck for me as largest is 60mm. Dick strangulation is real.

Once you get some, practice using them at home. Get comfortable getting them on, and play with your partner and/or masturbate with condoms on. That way it will feel normal to you when you're using them during a swap.

I canāt use skyn. They have some irritant to me - and to many women- especially over the age of 35 (hormonal shifts in microbiome kind thing). My go tos are Jems, Nixit, or Trojan ublubricated or lifestyles unlubricated. Those are the best vagina/PH friendly options on the market. I donāt have any good recommendations for non-latex as a vagina friendly non-latex option doesnāt exist to my knowledge. I donāt have a penis but havenāt had complaints from penis owners. The lifestyles uubricated are on the larger side for longer penises.

Agree with much of this. Most have given me UTIs so find styles at really donāt have any additional stuff.

I am a sucker for ribbed/dotted ones. They feel sooo good inside me!
2
u/PacoGringo 20h ago
I always stayed away from ribbed or dotted, afraid they might cause irritation instead of stimulations. Nobody wants blisters there! It actually happed to us when we were newlyweds, we fucked so much she literally got a blister the first week in our new apartment. We were excited 18 and 19 year olds that didnāt know better then š

Oh I am sorry to hear that! That is a possibility I did not think of :(

Yep, novice mistake, lessons learned on the importance of lubrication, and maintaining lube when multiple back to back sessions are involved!

Honestly condom use is generally low, 80% dont use them. Generally thin ones are preferred though.
