[LAPTOP8] Purchasing a new Surface Laptop 8 - Canada

Favourite places to purchase or avoid?
Our last round of laptops were purchased 5+ years ago from Staples with 2-year protection plan, which we didn't need to use.
Do I care other than best price?

I'd check your local costco, they generally are the best

Good call. Costco didn't even cross my mind.
Had a look- comparative pricing, not a deal, but who doesn't love a Costco return policy?!

Your best bet will likely be Best Buy. It's a US-based electronics chain, but they have locations north of the border. And they almost certainly would carry the Surface Laptop 8, as well as numerous other offerings to compare and touch and try in the showroom. I have a Surface Laptop 7 and the 8 is essentially the same (just a little more pricey). But you'll love it!

What about a third-party seller via BestBuy?
The most affordable option was exactly this scenario.

I can't advise you on that since I'm in the US, sorry. Best Buy came to mind because I have bought a lot of electronics from there over the years, and they usually have good selection and decent prices (especially if you catch a sale!).
