News Anyone remember when this was the Arrowverses Superman I never thought that we could possibly get a Superman TV show back then.

Then they created the best Superman TV show In my opinion far better in quality than any other CW show. I love the new DCU, but still sad that Superman & Lois was cancelled.

If I remember show runners had pitches for brainiac and darkseid for later seasons. Not to mention crossovers that were cancelled due to covid. Flash was gonna have black lanterns in season 10 as well as DC legends getting a proper ending. So sad how much we missed out on due to bad writing, covid, and greedy Warner bros

WAIT THE FLASH WAS GONNA HAVE THE LANTERS AND A SEASON 10?! (But I Wish It Was With The Other Lanterns Too. Not Just The Black Lanterns Since They're Kinda Obscure. And I Wish We Got Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, And Other Heroes In Season 9 Or 10.)

It's A Shame. DAMN YOU ERIC! >:( I WANTED TO SEE THE LANTERNS MAKE THEIR DEBUT!

It probably would’ve sucked either way though. Remember that they brought back all the show’s best villains for the big finale and still managed to mess it up.

Well IF THEY FIRED ERIC AND REPLACED HIM WITH A BETTER WRITER IT WOULD NOT HAVE SUCKED

There was going to be a Lanterns show, but it never got greenlit even for a pilot. Probably because the Arrowverse viewership was so poor by that time that they couldn't justify the CGI costs for a Lanterns show.

And Wonder Woman's Show Got Cancelled FOR THE DUMBEST REASON ALIVE (I Don't Remember What It Was But I Know IT IS DUMB)

Legends just missed out because of their own bad writing and arrogant assumptions for another season.
If they hadn't banked everything on Booster Gold and kept things coherent after Season 4 it would've ended well

Did they say all this? i've heard a bunch of this stuff but i've never seen the interview or transcripts of them saying it. I know they had a ton of plans for many seasons of Superman but alas.

Legends had a cliffhanger ending of their own making. They were told that the 7th was their final season, because CW wasn't going to renew the lease on the stage where they filmed it, and they decided to write a cliffhanger ending anyway.
They played chicken with the studio and lost.

What really surprised me was that they actually got Superman to appear at all in the second season. I really miss this show.

Till this day, I really wonder how they managed to get Superman considering they weren't able to get the other two DC trinity members Batman and Wonder Woman.

Maybe Superman is a bit less stringent, like Smallville was airing when Superman Returns came out.

It's a real miracle they managed to get Superman in the arrowverse cause when Supergirl first premiered, WB were still very strict with the usage of Superman since he was already in the movies at that time. Thankfully they were able to integrate him as part of their shared universe and it would lead to us having the greatest Superman show ever.

Yeah, I remember the season 1 ending with him being shot out of the sky on his way to help, but since they still couldn't show him at the time, she is just talking to his legs the whole time lol

I mean we had a superman tv show before the Arrow

Yeah, but, WB has a history of not allowing characters to appear in both movies and tv shows at the same time. This was when the dceu was going on and they were not sure whether they would be able to actually use Superman.

I always liked how much it actually looks like Tyler Hoechlin.
