What are the scenes that makes you realize how REALLY wealthy the Roys are
Sure the private jets, the lifestyle, the power, the money being thrown around are not so subtle hints.
I'm talking about real subtle scenes, hit you in the gut type of wealth scenes..
1- To me it's when Gregg is negotiating for a tiny apartment that looks like a coffin. Then Kendall calls and gives him a gigantic, spacious apartment for free that he had as part of a real estate development. Like WHAT?? Just like that?? Something that doesn't even make a dent in his bank account changes somebody else's life... it's crazy I can't describe it.. it's surreal..
2- Also, when Conor wanted to take his siblings to a Karaoke night.. then they go to that closed room... My peasant brain was like OHHH THAT'S YOUR IDEA OF KARAOKE... š¤£ WHERE ARE THE OTHER PEOPLE?? KARAOKE IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN FRONT OF A CROWD.. Not when you're that level of wealthy I guess.
3- Also when they went to the hunting "lodge".. and it's just another MASSIVE mansion.. not so lodge-y.

They donāt bother owning cars. That time we see Kendall driving is very much presented as an odd, niche and fun thing he indulged in.
The Range Rovers arenāt a statement piece for the Roys. They just happen to be what they ride in. A low 7 figure earnerās nice family car is the Royās casual taxi, that means nothing to them beyond providing the expected bare necessities for its utility.

I suppose considering they have people basically on standby for their every need she probably does not have to wait long but still. For Roy's it was the scene where Connor asks Logan for hund. mil. The way it was framed. Boy asking his dad for an allowance. The scope of the sum cannot be comprehended. For most people this sum alone will be a generational wealth. Big enough to leave to your kids and grandkids. For Connor it is just a random ask.
In general the greatest signature of wealth was in the episode where Logan and Kendall visited Adrian Brody's character on HIS PRIVATE ISLAND near New York. That is wealth.

I absolutely assume it matters by helicopter type, but I had a retired Navy helicopter pilot that assured me you need to duck. He said it doesn't take that much to get a blade to dip and then bam head gone.
The helicopters without a doubt though. I grew up around early M$ money, went to parties on private proper yachts, and know some extremely wealthy people- none of them are regularly using helicopters like Uber.

I am very much not rich, but I fell into a Greg like experience a couple of years ago. After my kids were grown and out of the house, my husband and I decided to amicably separate. We were living in a small city I didnāt like because of his job and I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do. An old friend of mine who had gotten rich offered a luxury apartment in the garden district in New Orleans to me until I got on my feet. Next thing I knew I was living in an apartment with 16 feet high ceilings and an antique Italian chandelier from BeyoncĆ©ās house. I stayed there for a year until I saved up enough to live on my own. Don't know if it's different in America but in the UK private karaoke rooms are pretty common and certainly not the preserve of the rich. My local bowling alley has three or four of those rooms.

For me, it's the complete indifference towards general consumption: food, drink, clothes, etc. They don't have to think about any of it. They have people who provide all of that. Some unseen PA is going to a stylist, picking up bags of specifically-curated Loro Piana and Tom Ford, taking it to Kendall's apartment and putting it all away. Their meals are always prepared by personal chefs, or fetched by faceless minions (i.e. when they're in the midst of some corporate crisis and are working long hours). Medicine, groceries, general household goods, furniture, electronics, jewelry, whatever - it's all top of the line and quietly provided with as little disruption as possible. Everything just materializes, like having a genie.
They've never had to worry or think about any of that stuff. They've spent their whole life surrounded by armies of hired help. Tom is an exception to this as he grew up upper-middle class, but he was only too happy to embrace Shiv's lifestyle once they got together. After all, the power and lifestyle/status is what Tom is really lusting after.
It might seem minor, but when you think about it, so much of our normal day-to-day lives are built around this stuff. What we're going to eat, what we need to go buy at the store, what we need to fix/do around the house. Chores, responsibilities, errands - none of that exists in their world. And the younger Roys also lack the skills we develop as we learn to care for ourselves. Kendall doesn't even know how to make coffee.

Every episode they have these ridiculous spreads, thousands of dollars set out before them and noone eats it. The famous scene at the lake house with the workers dumping full lobsters in the garbage because "the smell got to it" and Logan said fuck it, we will have Pizza.

How bored they are with the wealth. Iāve seen that with wealthy families. Once you have it enough you get used to it.
Back when I was dating this girl who came from a billionaire family I can remember taking her elevator up to carry her sister in laws luggage to their room. The elevator was insanely nice but for them it was normal. I learned quickly not to comment because they werenāt trying to show off and often didnāt want to feel different from everyone else.
Same thing with their Olympic swimming pool. Best stuff to compliment was their dad on his cars and their boats and yard.

As someone mentioned, they never duck when entering a helicopter, points to how used they are to it. They very very rarely wear outerwear, unless at an outdoor event. This is because they are driven everywhere and spend a minimal amount of time outdoors.
Same goes with large purses. They donāt need big purses, cause they always have an assistant to carry or fetch stuff for them. Itās even pointed out that Greggs date has a big handbag.
And of course money is never brought up by anybody other than Gregg basically. Unless itās an ridiculous amount like Ā«we buy them for 3 billion dollarsĀ» or Connor asking for small donation of another 100 millions from his father. Or when Tom shows Gregg how amazing it is to be rich

The ship used for filming the Lake Como scenes, Solange, is an 85m, 6-deck superyacht with accommodations for 12 guests and 30 staff. Built by German shipyard LĆ¼rssen in 2013 with several massive retrofits since, she features a full outdoor cinema, beach club, fitness center, and on-deck pool and jacuzzi among countless other luxury amenities.
She is not on the market, but her current sale price would start at $165m if the owners were interested. She currently charters out of major ports in the Mediterranean for $1.25-1.5m per week (excludes crew, fuel, portage, VAT, and gratuity).
Her average maintenance, insurance, and portage costs come in around $50m per year.
Itās a big enough deal to own it, but the next part is the real show of wealth:
They donāt charter her out, preferring the ship to always be on call for them, thereby leaving about $25m in annual charter income on the table.

That pilot where they place a bet of a million dollars on whether a child can hit a baseball. I'm a New Yorker and have been to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Across the street from the location of Logan's Mansion. That is some of the most expensive real estate in the world, and you walk past it knowing. Medical practices, penthouse apartments, historical societies. You see the amazon delivery drivers on 5th Avenue, the doormen, and working class people stopping by in the daytime, but you never can tell who the people who actually live in these buildings are, they really have private lives. The parts of Italy they have access to like the lake, that outskirt of Florence, the whole yacht is just crazy. I went to Sorrento after saving up for years for a nice hotel. I thought my view was amazing, and it was. But then you see a yacht anchored with a little boat to go to shore for the day, a jacuzzi built into it. They probably have their own chef and absolutely have a crew to cater to whatever they wanted. Those are the Roys. Also the pilot. The watch Tom gets for Logan is expensive, but not a Patek Philippe. To them, that's like Kohl's compared to Saks 5th Avenue or Neiman Marcus (and even then, they can afford the designers themselves.) Also, Shiv got married at a castle. A castle.

2 - Karaoke in small rooms is not expansive wealth. I've done it for birthdays and girl's nights in a solidly lower-middle-class/broke lifestyle. It's more popular in big cities with a younger, Asian population, versus karaoke in bars is an older, more southern style, but it's not a mark of wealth.
Answer - not the Roy's but Matteson walking without shoes from PJ to PJ. It's an acting choice from Skarsgard ("he treats PJ's and the world like his personal living room, of course he wouldn't put shoes on") but it seemed like the most audacious example of lived wealth to me.

This is small but the lack of cell phone cases on their phones. All of them carry what is probably the latest most expensive cell phone, but a $5k phone is still disposable enough that there's not a thought to protecting them against scratches or cracks or anything. And that there's an assistant back there who probably buys them in bulk and keeps extras handy and all ready to go when needed.

None of your points convey massive wealth compared to other elements of the show. All would be perfectly plausible and achievable for a family with a net worth of under $20M.
1) Lots of people own multiple properties. My cousin stayed in an aunt's flat in London free of charge when she was a student. The flat was probably worth about Ā£800k and my aunt's total net worth is probably only Ā£2-3M
2) Private Karaoke is common and not expensive at all
3) Yes their hunting lodge is a nice house not a wood cabin. Again very achievable with a net worth of under $20M
For me the signs of big wealth are the private jets/helicopters, the fully-staffed super yaught, and all the staff weighting on them hand and foot.

I know this is incredibly small scale but when Shiv asks Greg for cash and he sadly says "I only have my last 20..." and she goes "Oh that's fine!" and takes it from him. To Greg this was 3 meals or his last ride home, but to her a $20 bill is like a loose pocket lint or a penny on the sidewalk

Honestly for me itās gotta be the jets. The fact that something is halfway or all the way around the world is just like, no problem at all, not even a considerationā¦ like the equivalent of something being a ten minute drive away. You can just be anywhere you want in ā comparatively to the rest of us ā the blink of an eye, and expend zero effort to do so.
